I might be imagining things that don't happen, but I would guess Anaheim would have a pretty good idea of what it will take to sign Caulfield before trading for his rights.  Not tampering or anything like that, but agents and GMs have a way of getting their messages across.  So I'll be surprised if he doesn't sign.

As for portal signings, UND may have gotten one of the top two available players at each position so far.

At forward, I can run with the current group.  If they have to add another one or two, whether that's Albrecht or a minor portal grab to get the numbers up, that's fine.  But I can draw up awesome lines from the current roster.

At defense, UND appears to need one more player who can anchor a line.  Then you can go with two portals and four frosh, with another frosh in reserve.  And probably add another portal to get the numbers up.

In goal, either Hobie or a portal to be the backup, but largely set here.

The last few days have set the team up for an exciting year.  Exciting (scary) early and hopefully exciting (we are winners, mf'er) by the end.

That was kind of my thought too

No way Omaha fans are going to be bitter about this

Just tell them that Berg was the player to be named later in the Tychonick "trade"

In that scenario Omaha got taken.

Not so sure…

JT 8/18-26 +8

CB 10/14-24 -5

You’re comparing a 5th year player to a sophomore.
I’d wager that Berg easily surpasses those numbers next year.

I’m comparing two players on the same ice against the same opponents. Both played PP and PK.

Well, in that case...

Tychonick - 10-24-34 +2
Berg - 18-29-47 -1

Those are their combined stats for the last two seasons, both playing for Omaha.  :)

Berg is going to end up being a great pickup for Berry.  Still two more seasons to develop into a solid center for us.

Yup, cuz as we’ve read on this board for the past 3 months… we’re a DEVELOPMENT MACHINE!

Yes, which one of the Ottawa picks with ties to North Dakota isn’t in this picture.

As expected, Gleason to UST

That's a good get for them.  He always seemed like a quick shifty forward.

Caufield signed

It would’ve been nice to have him back but he played 4 years so can’t fault him on striking a deal to go pro. Good luck to Judd!

We need two defensemen.

We are “one for one” on forwards meaning “as they go, we need” to stay at fifteen: right now we need a replacement for Caulfield.
