Sept. 2: Sun Country Air: Minneapolis to Bozeman, MT $198 round trip 

Rent car in Bozeman, drive 247 miles to Pocatello, ID for September 4th game vs Idaho State

Spend September 5 - 9 explore Big Sky country, meander down to Logan, UT for September 10 games vs Utah State (105 miles)
     (Show up on national TV with UND painted on chest)

September 11: drive up to Bozeman, MT (350 miles) to catch Sun Country Air back to Minneapolis 

Gotta love that UND degree that got me retired early.

Plenty of mountains to explore around Logan and the Fall colors will be spectacular.

I'd take a side trip to Vernal, it sounds like Yellowstone and Tetons already on your agenda.  Utah has some spectacular fall colors.

Prices can change but right now Sun Country is lowest. More intended to start discussion on road trip possibilities.

Jamestown to Salt Lake City were going for $204 round trip.

More airports within driving distance than you would think. I hope the price of rental cars adjusts by then - $90-$100 a day, for that price I'll have to also use it as my hotel.

Just a heads-up, anyone planning on to go to the game in Logan needs to look for a room now! There are no standard hotel rooms available in Logan on Friday night, and only a few private listings available. The Howard Johnson in Brigham City, 30 minutes away, currently has one room available.

Just bought flights for the Utah State Game.  Here's our trip plan.

Leave Friday morning from Jamestown.  Get into Salt Lake City by noon.  Watch UND get a big win.

Saturday Morning fly back to Denver.  Go to the Colorado/Texas AM game - 1:30 start time

Drive up to Fort Collins.  Watch the Colorado State/Vanderbilt game - 8:00 start time.

Try to get up Sunday for our flight back to Jamestown.  Ha

Tempting.....but a Nov 20 game at an outdoor stadium might not be the best time. Will go to a game there one day just might not be this year.

Nov was pretty warm last year.

With global warming and a hot June, one can only imagine how warm Nov will be this fall?

I like the way you think there. Every time we get a nice winter I get kind of scared what's coming the next year.

Plans are set for a double header - Idaho State and Utah State with plenty of mountain hikes in between. I am taking personal responsibility for flipping the home field advantage .

Tickets for those of you making the trek down I-29 to Vermillion are now available here  The top portion of section H  is designated as visitor seating and my guess is tickets for that section will be available through UND.
