The winning 10 out of 14 win or die estimate has to be taken with a grain of salt.

Losses to top ranked teams like UMD, DU and SCSU are inevitable, but those won't hurt UND's PWR much at all. As long as they can make sure to win out against Omaha and CC then I bet they won't actually need all 10 wins to be on the right side of the bubble. The crazy stuff that can go on outside of their control can also make for some pretty heavy swings to throw everything off.

Missed every year from 1990-91 through 1995-96. Should note only 12 teams made it back then.

Those were bad times towards the end of Gino's career. Took Dean Blais to turn things around.

To be fair, Dean Blais’ first couple of teams missed the tournament before he won it all in 1997.  Contrast that with Brad Berry, who took home a natty in his first year and now has the program sinking faster than the Titanic just three seasons later.

I asked Tim Hennessy for his take on the situation and evidently, we just need Kermit’s Luck to guide our pucks again, so no worries at all.

For this team to reach the NCAA it's all about the conference tournament autobid. Forget the potential Pairwise calculations. It's just wasted math and analytics at this point.

Winning four games in a row is a process, right?

But Schlossman said if UND won all their games this year, they'd be first.

Unfortunately, it all boils down to puck luck.  Wait!  They just need to break out the black jerseys this coming weekend, that’ll fix everything!

No, but stop embarrassing yourselves by busting them out for the likes of Canisius and Omaha.  Save them for big games...NEXT season.

We don't look ahead to next season, just the next 60.
