Palmborg is an LB now.

Obviously we will miss Reyes after this season, and I really hope we can find some solid replacements and depth at safety this year, but our CBs are going to be pretty loaded with talent in 2018. Carter and Harris will be seniors; Hunt and Holm will be Juniors; and quite a bit of depth behind them. I will miss watching Harris this year, especially after re-watching his pick 6 against N Arizona last night, but thank goodness Bubba has recruited talent and depth to the position (compared to only a few years ago). Harris's absence will provide extremely valuable reps for some other players that are in the mix.

Thinking Tyus Carter should be able to get a medical redshirt for the 2016 season, as he only played 3 games.  So he could be a junior in 2018, eligibility-wise.

That would be great news if it happens.

And since he never used his actual redshirt, a medical redshirt should be pretty easy to get.

Would he have already applied for that then, and when would we know?

I believe it is only applied for when that extra year is needed.

That's kind of bs.  What's the point in making these kids wait?  To put them on edge and stress them out?

Because if they get injured again they have a stronger case.
