Wilbur Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Really a step in a great direction for Paddack. Could be excellent next season. Quote
Wilbur Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 All the right moves except Thielbar IMHO. Paddack, and Jax lights out. Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Now can they get to 4 runs. I think they can hold Houston to 3. Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 I'm just going to say it. Pinch hit Buxton next inning if the score is still 3-2 1 Quote
Wilbur Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 8th inning. Looks like Duran. That leaves only Pagan after him. Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Just now, Wilbur said: 8th inning. Looks like Duran. That leaves only Pagan after him. He might have to get all 6 outs Quote

Oxbow6 Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Buxton?? Seriously....... @Wilbur would have been a better AB option Quote

SWSiouxMN Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Time to create the first real Target Field Magic Moment in the postseason. Quote
Wilbur Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Polanco. Royce, Kepler..... Down to this. Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Could be the last ever at bats for Polanco and Kepler in a Twins uniform. Can they actually deliver? Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Polanco and Kepler should not be on the team next year. 2 Quote

Oxbow6 Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Kepler strikes out looking more than @MafiaMan on a Friday night at Whitey's in the late 80's. Quote

Sodbuster Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 The Twins really are the kings of the strikout, aren't they. Quote
Wilbur Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 A change is needed in the philosophy at the plate. Wow did they strike out....a lot. Got the monkey off their back, but lost to a more complete team. Interesting off season ahead. 1 Quote
SiouxScore Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Pitching was good enough to advance but offense wasn’t close. Just way too many easy ABs that put no stress on opposing pitchers. Gotta think this was the end of a couple longtime Twins in Polanco and Kepler. Quote

Wilbur Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Way too early look at next year's lineup. 1. Julien-2B 2. Lewis-3B 3. Correa-SS 4. Buxton-DH 5. Wallner-RF 6. Kiriloff-1B (Or a free agent) 7. Jeffers/Vasquez-C 8. Larnach/Castro-LF 9. CF-TBD....Can Brooks Lee play here? Imagine Farmer back, maybe Nick Gordon. Solano a free agent. Going to have a lot of cash after they buy out Kepler and Polanco. I'd only bring Polanco back on a restructured deal. Pitching wise they are in the best spot they've been in for many years. If Sonny doesn't come back they've still got four guys that can go 150 plus innings. February a long ways away. Quote
MafiaMan Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Remember when Byron Buxton was supposed to be the second coming of Ken Griffey, Jr.? Quote

The Sicatoka Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Everyone stand up, raise a glass, and on three do the Twins war cry. One, Two, THREE ... NEXT YEAR! Quote
