Fargo Sioux
Congrats to Bubba and so excited for Sioux football 2014 and beyond. Can't wait to see the staff he puts in place. Living in the land of arrogance, I can already feel a little shift...a little "well, everyone will want to come to NDSU regardless" attitude...is the same thing that dug their grave in the early 90's. Right now, anyone and everyone goes to NDSU regardless. That will change with Bubba and his staff (especially if Schmitty is DC). I hope everyone in Fargo and all their "new fans" enjoy this last week of fun...
The Sicatoka
Folks, just have confidence that Brian Faison did what's best ... ...right, Sic? What was good before the decision is also good after, no? Sounds like sour grapes to me. That's not like you. Your arms are even crossed in your avatar like something is bothering you. Did Faison do it, or was he cornered by the old boys network (that doesn't exist ... yeah-right). Sour grapes? No. Expectations beyond "recycled coaches". What worries me worse is the NDSU guys who were saying to me that UND should hire Bubba. They aren't looking out for UND, are they? And that's been my avatar, The Spectre, for months and months. When Bubba's team goes 10-2 and hangs a BSC banner in two seasons I'll stand up and say I was wrong. Until then, call me skeptical.

UND-1
Question for all on this fine Xmas day. What is the difference, overall, of Bubba and Chris Klieman? Do a comparison. What are experiences, successes, etc. Bison fans, would love your thoughts also.

Hayduke
Vs. who? Who was the expensive option? Just speculation. In order to get a more qualified coach, more $$$ may have needed to be paid. Maybe the alumni ponying up the $$$ for the contract wanted Bubba because of familiarity. Again, speculation. On the other hand, if Bubba did get more money for assistants, that may bode well for UND Football. Nothing against Bubba, I want UND to succeed at the FCS level. But, count me as a skeptic. Like Sic, I hope he proves me wrong.
choyt3
klieman has a Wikipedia page bubba doesn't. That's the barometer? Really? Klieman is 3-7 as a head coach. But he's inheriting a hell of a program right now.
Mama Sue
I like Bubba; being safe is good. I think Wayne is right. Bubba is just what we need right now no matter how he got here. bincitysioux
Just so we can put to bed the DeBoer as OC talk, this is from a Carbondale newspaper: SIU’s current offensive coordinator, Kalen DeBoer, who was reportedly a finalist along with Schweigert for the North Dakota job, will not be a part of that new staff in Grand Forks, N.D. DeBoer told The Southern Illinoisan earlier today he plans to stay at SIU.
