Frozen4sioux Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Thank you so much midco for the pathetic blurry exposure you provide for the program. Omaha and CC are in beautiful HD on NBCsports with the amazing Doc Emerys' soothing pipes serenading the action. We have hammer , Dan the high school volleyball hammer. Whoever signed the deal for this crap and to ENSURE we can't be on NBC needs to be fired and banned forever from Grand Forks. Quote
UND1983 Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 The picture on DirecTV is god awful. Horrible. 2 Quote
Frozen4sioux Posted January 5, 2013 Author Posted January 5, 2013 Anyone in the athletic department that is still denying or dismissing this crap needs to go too.. Mediocrity is UNACCEPTABLE for this program. Quote
Frozen4sioux Posted January 5, 2013 Author Posted January 5, 2013 Credit where credit is due....these intermission spot features are very well done for the most part. Still I'd prefer to not have to stare at the wiggling neck ; babbling "koober" all night Quote
Longfellow_Deeds Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 The online feed is not the greatest either. 1 Quote
dakotadan Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 I have a nice, crisp picture here in Williston. And Midco has committed to broadcasting the UND games in HD by the fall of '14. But the last report was that they will likely have all of the equipment in place to begin HD broadcasts by this fall. WDAZ was never going to have the resources to broadcast the games in HD anytime in the near future. Plus, people got the penalty clock that they have been demanding for years. As far as games being carried on national networks, the games are being carried on Fox College Sports this season. It is NOT Midco's fault or UND's fault that beginning this fall they will not be allowed on such national networks. That is the fault of the NCHC agreeing to such a horrible, horrible conference TV deal. 1 Quote
krangodance Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Comcast picture is great...weird. The broadcast is not in HD no matter who your carrier is. Any differences in picture quality are related to the other hardware involved, such as the TV for example. Plus there could always be a difference in tolerance for standard definition. I have DirecTV. It's certainly clear enough but I would rather it were in HD. Quote

Still I'd prefer to not have to stare at the wiggling neck ; babbling "koober" all night Picture is fine in Alexandria. Maybe it's your eyes. Is there anything that's ok in your life or are you just a chronic complainer? Picture is bad, play-by-play is bad, wiggling neck, babbling koober......you must be a blast to be around. You should hook up with Rosie O'Donnell. Quote
gfhockey Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Cough ad cough cough He sold out for the cbs network Quote
siouxforeverbaby Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 The online feed is not the greatest either. my online feed was just fine. better than it has been in the past, though I have never had the complete blurriness that people keep talking about. Quote
Goon Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 I went home and rewatched some of the game last night and I thought the picture wasn't bad. Quote
watchmaker49 Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 I went home and rewatched some of the game last night and I thought the picture wasn't bad. Or are now just getting use to it? After the Gopher and Denver series then we really will think it is blurry. Quote
Frozen4sioux Posted January 6, 2013 Author Posted January 6, 2013 Flip over to another game and then back both in digital of course can't compare HD to standard but apples to apples ther is a significant difference. I'd be ok with Blurry if the pxp wasn't embarrassing. Quote

Goon Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 I went home and rewatched some of the game last night and I thought the picture wasn't bad. One thing I did notice is the first night was better than the second. Quote
MattC Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Anyone notice how green the crowd looks tonight? Quote
Sioux Fan in Sioux Falls Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Anyone notice how green the crowd looks tonight? The crowd looks jaundiced! Does Midco not have a technical crew that can fix that? Wow! Quote
