All this chatter made me think "whatever happened to Sweeto Buritto."

A quick Google search showed it closed its Fargo locations....but now reopened....as online doordash etc delivery. No physical location in Fargo.

They opened a couple places in Utah/idaho/washington..but some (all) closed too? And maybe now just run "ghost kitchens"?

They seemed desperate to make the franchise model work...with some "interesting" business practices...prioritized money over management?

Not anymore.  At one point chipotle was way better.  Qdoba pasted them a couple years ago.  Chipotle has become a lot like Taco Bell, kind of gross.

Take a look at the kitchen next time you're in Qdoba (and the floor).  REALLY disgusting and the food was slapped together and sucked.  Employees are zombies and could someone go out and wipe down the tables once every 3 hours or so?  idk but we're OUT going there after our last experience.

New Italian place coming to the old Vinyl Taco space on Columbia via Facebook.  Joe's Italian!  Apps, pasta, entrees, wood fired pizza.  Not a chain.  No opening date but shouldn't take long.

I see this place is opening a Minot restaurant as well.  Interesting.

So that was what they call "New Haven" pizza - thin stretched crust slightly charred with not a ton of ingredients but slices, not shreded mozz like a Duane's Pizza - is that what it was?  A House of Duane's sausage, ground beef and green olives is to f*cking die for and one of my few reasons to go to Fargo - hoping Surly's is like that?

yep...pretty accurate description....for being the cheese pizza option (then choose up to 3 more ingredients)...i would have wished it was a little more cheesy?!

It’s best not to know. Just enjoy it. I’ll just say it’s the kitchen sink.

damn I miss Jack that did the fried chicken special on wednesdays - that was fantastic home fried chicken.  Went to Ground Round last night and had Gam's Chinese for one of the last times.  Brought up lots of Shangra La comfort food memories and his hot mustard cleaned my sinuses out UNTIL MAY!   Hate that we have lost or are losing these classic GF foods with few new options.   What's your new GF go-to?  I'm open to suggestions...

PS - the ghost ship of the old Italian Moon with a parking lot full of snow and the shredding signage looks really pathetic - just my opinion.  Hurts my GF soul...can someone please buy that and turn it into a bank or car wash?  Seems like that's what we do these days

House of Punjab all day. Karara, Garlic naan, and either a mango lassi or an Indian beer.

Great place.
Love me some Chili Balti or Butter chicken and onion kulcha. Haven’t found a bad entree yet.
Good people.
