As soon as my 11 year old daughter wakes up we are heading back to Fargo. She has a lead in our church's musical production Sunday and has a 3 hour practice tonight. She is not happy that we can't stay for the game tonight. The X was filled with Sioux fans last night...all others cheering for the Clowns. The atmosphere tonight at the X will be electric. Gophs will have a the home ice advantage but it will be minimal at best.

One way or the other, this is gonna be an awesome game.

UND has suprised with their tenacity late in our last few games...3 months ago we were giving up all these last minute goals at the end of a period...It seems the last 3-4-5 games our focus at the end of the game is to keep pressing forward, instead of sitting back...It has created a winning edge for our team. I have been following the Sioux since 04' and i must say this group has overcame the most! And has excedded the expectations i had for them! Now if they would just lock up a East Coast Tourney Bracket!!!

Go Fighting Sioux!!!

Just think back in October 2001 UND played Minnesota in the first game with the newest and current logo and fell 7-5.

If the Sioux were to fall today it would also be the last time, most likely, that the Logo is used, i dont want to let MN have that.

hopefully the team can pick it up and at least send the logo into the past with dignity, honor and and allow it to be entered into the history and legendary success of the program with the lasting vision of a broadmoor trophy celebration in St. Paul.

This is the game, the atmosphere, the pressure, the adrenalin rush we ALL have been waiting for!

Tonight 7:00 pm at the X!

Two teams that show true hatred towards each other, but if you are a true hockey battling fan, you know the love for this matchup!

HOCKEY HOCKEY HOCKEY OYE OYE OYE!

GO SIOUX!

I wouldn't be happy losing to the Gophers tonight, but with only 17 healthy skaters I wouldn't be upset about not playing three games in three days.

The fan fight was ridiculously. Not sure how it happened or if a Gopher instigated the fight with a Sioux fan. Either way, glad the Sioux fan dropped the Gopher fan for his antics. I don't promote this behavior whatsoever, but when push comes to shove, I'm glad that Sioux fan got a solid right in.

It's not surprising that Gophers fans are involved...

+1

but it doesn't mean I won't wake up hoarse on Saturday morning from yelling at the TV!

Whatever happens,it is bound to be a dog fight. Heck there was a fight in the fan section last night between Sioux and Gopher fans! At any rate, when the final five minutes come, I would no be surprised to see blood (with a small b) on the ice. ;)

People need to be smarter and not get into that kind of crap. Remember, this is just college hockey, keep your cool and keep your alcohol consumption at a reasonable level.

From my vantage point, it looked like two Gopher fans pulled the jersey off the Sioux fan from behind. Then they wrap him up and when he gets free, he pops one of the Goofy fans. I didn't see him drop but he may have. What I DID see was a few minutes later security escorted the two Gopher fans out, while the Sioux fan remained to watch the rest of the game.

Also, the scirmish went on for several minutes. I was halfway expecting the sea of Sioux fans in that section to pulverize the Gopher fans, but I guess we are too classy for that. :silly:

Here's what I saw

A Sioux fan was standing up trying to get the crowd involved during a lull in the action. A gopher fan told him to sit down,. of course there were a few choice words added. Sioux fan didn;t take to kindly to this, verbal fight began. Some guy in a Garby (Because he was garbage) Hendirckson jersey came down and got involved. A fight ensued, I guess there was a good amount of blood spilled too.

As the guy was walking up the aiisle I said: "I remember my first final five too."

Both the football and men's hockey teams have fought through some early season adversity this year to attain success. It has been gratifying following both teams. Very proud of my alma mater right now.

I don't see a lock on a nat tourney berth for us if we lose tonight.

We must play better tonight if we want to win. That being said, win or lose, this team has likely locked up an NCAA tournament berth and will live to play again next weekend. GO SIOUX!!!

Wow, awesome!

And to think back to the fist few weeks of the season and how many people wrote us off.....

Now if we can just pin back the Gopher's ears tonight.....
