  1. Midco is apparently working on a deal to get this weekend's games simulcasted in the Twin Cities. Great news if true!
  2. There's a solid groupon deal for upper level tickets to this weekend's games. $20 for each session: http://www.groupon.com/deals/gl-target-center-3?p=1&utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&sid=065094d7-e795-43e6-bc52-a61bbb13b8a2&division=minneapolis-stpaul&user=5cfb245ef1784abc331570d2ed1b753f2e4dd74f94a7891ea07ea9c74c2fbd80&date=20150318&s=body&c=button&d=deal-page&utm_campaign=065094d7-e795-43e6-bc52-a61bbb13b8a2
  3. Picking up tickets at the door tonight. Prices look to be between $17-$25 based on where you sit. That's a pretty fair price, especially when you start to think about how much people are going to spend on #20 Minnesota vs. #55 Wisconsin tickets in Madison! Edit1: Spelling
  4. The Old Mattress is cool, DJ's Dugout is a nice place too. My favorite spot last year was Upstream Brewing Co. though, their brunch wails. -I believe they have some awesome food for dinner/apps too, don't really remember.
  5. St. Cloud's current Home unis look great (Very similiar to the Frattin Era Sioux sweaters): http://i.turner.ncaa.com/dr/ncaa/ncaa7/release/sites/default/files/styles/640x360/public/media/st-cloud-st-kalle-kossila-020614.jpg?itok=WkihMgQu Duluth's Newer Home tarps look awesome. I really like that logo on their shoulders: http://wnyhockeyprospects.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/iafallo8211.jpg If the Sioux dropped the "pit stains" on their current homes they would look much nicer. Its a confused look, traditional throwback shoulder yokes with modern under-arm 3rd color, just looks tacky.
  6. I'm just glad that North Dakota was able to finally put an end to the rampant voter fraud that has plagued the state.
  7. Just had a funny Twitter exchange with Midco: Bur ‏@aburesh01 1h1 hour ago @MidcoSN, Having a hard time getting any @UNDMHockey on FCS. Is there something broken on your end? Midco Sports Network ‏@MidcoSN 36m36 minutes ago @aburesh01 @UNDMHockey We are in agreement with FCS to give them just 5 games that we are producing this season I guess this confirms the press release that was leaked yesterday regarding the 5 games on FCS this year. Notice their use of the word 'just' (5 games). strange.
  8. Imperial Room is my favorite bar down in area around the Target Center. $4 22oz craft beers and cheap above average appetizers. A word to the wise though... The Imperial Room along with others (Pourhouse and Sneaky Pete's) turn into dance clubs around 10pm. If you are willing to venture a little further away from the Target Center, the Smack Shack on Washington is always fun too.
  9. Or you could make the trek to Houghton! Tickets are 18 bucks a night SRO. 2 years ago SRO meant sitting 7 rows up on the blueline that the Sioux were attacking that period. Great town with great fans too. Probably the last time UND will play there for a very very long time.
  10. Here's what I saw A Sioux fan was standing up trying to get the crowd involved during a lull in the action. A gopher fan told him to sit down,. of course there were a few choice words added. Sioux fan didn;t take to kindly to this, verbal fight began. Some guy in a Garby (Because he was garbage) Hendirckson jersey came down and got involved. A fight ensued, I guess there was a good amount of blood spilled too. As the guy was walking up the aiisle I said: "I remember my first final five too."
  11. I think they had a Banner Raising ceremony for it after their win on Saturday.
  12. My Sign for the Gopher game (If we get there): "Welcome back Gophers, we didn't miss you"
  13. What sort of stuff did you see? I too will be making the long trip from St. Paul all the way to Magness Arena. Can't wait to watch some intense hockey this weekend!
  14. Grumpy's On Washington should have it on, might have to request to have the channel changed for you though. otherwise A lot of Sioux fans head to Senser's in Roseville to watch games, not that far of a drive from Washington Ave.
