AlphaMikeFoxtrot Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 Scroll for Boisvert's hat trick. Bleu ćhippá Looks like a Cody Croal goal was embedded too. Hockey is back! EDIT: embedded link was removed, go to Muskegon lumberjacks Twitter to see the goals. Quote

Nice, I'll take it. 1 2 Quote

The Sicatoka Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 I’d go with the 37 minute old tweet from Zellers saying UND. 1 1 Quote

Popular Post brianvf Posted September 20, 2023 Popular Post Posted September 20, 2023 https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/forward-will-zellers-commits-to-und-hockey Quote Will Zellers attended his first UND hockey game before he could walk. "I'd wear a UND onesie to the games," he said. His grandparents, Cathy and Chuck, met at the school. His parents, Kim and Kurt, grew up in North Dakota and attended UND. Zellers even named his dog, 'Boeser,' after watching Brock Boeser tally four points in the 2016 NCAA national championship game, leading the Fighting Hawks to their eighth national title. "My whole family went there," Zellers said. "I grew up going to Sioux games my whole life. It's been a long time coming." Quote Zellers, a standout forward at Shattuck-St. Mary's, verbally committed to UND this week, choosing the Fighting Hawks over their rival Minnesota. "I'm pumped; I can't wait," Zellers said. "I can't wait to play in The Ralph." Zellers, who grew up in Maple Grove, Minn., initially committed to Boston University last fall, but recently re-opened his recruitment and hoped UND would be after him. "That has been my dream school ever since I was 3," Zellers said. 2 3 Quote
ChadR Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 Still very confused why he committed/uncommitted from BU. Still only a senior in high school. Quote

Don’t know if it’s fact or speculation, but I heard on a podcast after his decommit that chatter in the rinks was that he wanted to play closer to home. Not sure why he originally committed to BU in the first place though. Quote

Just asked this question to a couple people and it sounds like with BU recruiting a lot of similar forwards to him, he didn't know where he'd fit. I'm certainly not upset lol. Quote

I heard Potter possibly MSU and Hagens bros Michigan? All rumors but it’d sure be nice to land Potter or Mooney. Either would turn that recruiting class from “excellent” to “elite”. Quote

AJS Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 Starting with the Boisvert commitment, has there been a hotter stretch for this program in the past 17 years (post Oshie / Toews)? This has been lights out. Of course, I don't think the best player of the past 17 years is in the group, but I don't think the overall "ranking" has been higher during that stretch. 1 2 Quote

With the "last 17" disclaimer, and recruit reputation, no. Actual on ice ... we shall see. Other "hot runs" were - Parise -> Toews (give or take a year or two) and - building the 1980 and 1982 rosters. Quote

I think Panzer has a really good shot at being a quality, four-year college hockey player. Quote
