He was the 2nd winger on the morning skate.

2LW not 3C?

That means not just an eight game heater, but blowout-outs, no OTs! :D

Shake up in USHL Sioux City:
GM leaves for MSU-M. Colton St. Clair had the title Asst GM/Asst HC but they've named a new GM (not St Clair) and the website now only lists him as Asst HC.

And the USHL Fargo HC job is open. Dude that'll make the hire? Fargo GM Cary Eades.

Interesting times.

Smaby getting press in Waterloo as well.

Do you put much into USHL "shakeups" seems people move on and up and around at a pretty regular pace year to year.

I think the dumpster fire in Omaha is still smoldering not sure they've solved any of their issues.. kinda the burning coal vein of the USHL

There's always churn in the USHL offseason. It caught my eye that the "Asst GM" left St Clair's title.

And "smoldering" might be a good word for Omaha.

Rocco Grimaldi and Tyler Kleven and Team USA advance to the semifinals at the World Championships.

Semifinals have been a curse in the past.  Perhaps this is the year.

Also hoping Grimaldi's play puts him in contention for Olympic consideration.  He seems very well suited for the international game.

The Talking Heads nailed it: Same as it ever was.

RIP to former player Rob Mihulka who passed away four days ago after a battle with cancer.

Sending best wishes to his family and friends.

Schlossman's article was spot on, regarding how he influenced teammates.

One of Tim Hennessey's broadcast quotes became a Farce favorite:  "Mihulka lines him up and bowls him over!"   He seemed to like checking opponents into the boards in front of us.  Probably because the "boards" checked back.   :D

Thanks again for your key role in bringing Sioux hockey back to national prominence.  RIP.

Rob Mihulka gave me a double shiner with a clean open-ice hit in HS.  I thought I'd run into the zamboni.  As good a "heads up" lesson as you can get, and I'm sure I was low hanging fruit to him.   RIP RM

I remember watching his son Marc play for Red River years back and just being amazed by his strength, only to be told a number of times "you should've seen his dad."
