DAR Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 thats a sweet clip Wow...Oshie has come a long way good for him....After Toews and Parise he is number three in making the biggest NHL splash!! Quote
AZSIOUX Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Couple corrections AZSioux. Marks is now an assistant coach with the Florida Everblades Not sure if Litke landed anywhere after his and Mark's team folded? Hrkac is lacing them up for Houston in the AHL! Lee Davidson retired from coaching. thanks a lot! not sure how that hrkac slipped my mind Quote
SiouxForever Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Wow...Oshie has come a long way good for him....After Toews and Parise he is number three in making the biggest NHL splash!! Jason Blake my friend, Oshie will get there, let see how he does next year.. No doubt he shall be amazing but you can't classify him with parise and toews just yet Quote
AZSIOUX Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Jason Blake my friend, Oshie will get there, let see how he does next year.. No doubt he shall be amazing but you can't classify him with parise and toews just yet not yet but he is on his way, no injury and he may have gotten the ROY, those young guns they have in st louis are damn good! Quote

No doubt he shall be amazing but you can't classify him with parise and toews just yet I am talking about making a splash...I don't see anywhere that Leafs fans are chanting Blake's name like Oshie in St Louis. In fact most of them probably hate him. Quote
DAR Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 not yet but he is on his way, no injury and he may have gotten the ROY, those young guns they have in st louis are damn good! Backes...Perron...McDonald...Berglund....Oshie...I am predicting a first round upset. And that is with no Brewer and Erik Johnson on the blue line. This team has a bright future!!! Quote
mikejm Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Here's your Wednesday feel good: - Seventeen former Sioux played in the NHL, most of any Western Collegiate Hockey Association program. Michigan is the only school in the country that had more than 17. - Five former Sioux players Quote
star2city Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 NYTimes: With Grit and Goals, Parise Leads the Devils Quote

nodak hockey fanatic Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 I am talking about making a splash...I don't see anywhere that Leafs fans are chanting Blake's name like Oshie in St Louis. In fact most of them probably hate him. it wouldn't matter if it was brett hull, they wouldn't be chanting because he's an american player in toronto. fact is he led their team in scoring and is arguably their best player. it would be nice to see blake with a team who had some complimentary players, but hey he's got the big pay day, so i'm sure he doesn't mind if they aren't chanting his name. osh is a special player as we saw in his time here at und, even so i am surprised how quickly he is becoming the face of this young team, great to see. Goon Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Exactly -we need both - it seems like you and hab-it believe otherwise. I am still waiting for the example where I said I didn't like Minnesota players. Goon said: That statement is false in so many ways. Two Gopher fans play on my favorite NHL team and I have been accused of being a Kessel and Wheeler lover one of my blogsphere buddies. So please tell me where have I said I don't like Minnesota Players? I like all of the Sioux players. Quote
stickboy1956 Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 USA World Tourny Roster set http://www.usahockey.com/Template_Usahocke...3&id=260856 Stafford and Blake are on it - Matt Greene is not. IMO Greene > Hainsey Quote
AZSIOUX Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 USA World Tourny Roster set http://www.usahockey.com/Template_Usahocke...3&id=260856 Stafford and Blake are on it - Matt Greene is not. IMO Greene > Hainsey and i believe if teams are eliminated in the playoffs then others can and usually join the team if they choose to, parise ect... if their respective teams dont advance Quote
stickboy1956 Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 NYTimes: With Grit and Goals, Parise Leads the Devils Vancouver Sun: Oshie grew up in the shadow of the Canucks, but was never a fan Vancouver fans should remember an Oshie visit to their city a few years ago. Quote

The Whistler Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 nice writeup about the success zajac has had this season... http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=417436 I came here to post that but you beat me to it. The title impressed me. Zajac's evolution leads to No. 1 center role Quote

siouxforce19 Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Too bad it's going to be the Bruins that win the cup. gosh i hope not -- the wings winning last year was bad enough. Quote
The Whistler Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Too bad it's going to be the Bruins that win the cup. They're still in it? Quote
hrkac Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Oshie probably would have been in that 20 goal list too if he didn't get hurt. The problem is, this would be a better story if those five guys with 20+ goals had more than one combined national title. What a total shame! Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Parise with a goal (GWG) and an assist in tonight's Devils/Hurricane's game. Zajac with an assist. Devils looked like a solid team for the first time in about a month. Quote
Ray77 Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Too bad it's going to be the Bruins that win the cup. AMEN to that Goon!! Man, I am hoping so! Quote
