With Blake getting his 6th goal of the season, made me think of how he's doing amongst the other rookies. he's 2nd in goals and tied 5th in points.

Great for him... still wish (selfishly) that he would have stayed.  -Sincerely, O McLaughlin

Blake with his 7th goal and game winner versus the Rangers.

Pretty impressive start for him.
When he left, I was thinking that he was leaving a year too soon...but he is showing that he belongs.
That said, imagine how fun it would have been watching him one more year at UND...

I think that is where not making the Frozen Four sometimes comes into play.  If you are so close you can taste it, sometimes guys come back, or talk to each other about whether staying might put you over the top. Not getting even solitary wins in the NCAA tournament, or missing altogether, doesn’t foster that confidence that you are close to an NCAA title. They need to get it back to where UND is in the mix of teams that can win it all year in and year out, which will help in recruiting as well.

One goal off the rookie lead. Boy I sure remember a ton of posters on this forum blasting him for leaving early. He was beyond ready.

I wasn’t one of those people but I think most people were selfishly angry because of what he could’ve done for this years team. Of course we want all of our players to go to the next level but deep down we want them to stay to help raise another banner.

I didn't have a problem with Blake leaving because he didn't wait until the day before classes started in August.

I was concerned Blake would get buried in the AHL and have a hard time getting a chance in the NHL, but thankfully that hasn't happened.

I am proud of Blake and his accomplishments so far.

He certainly had an embarassing final moment in a UND jersey. Props to him for proving the doubters wrong. Can't think of an NCAA 4th rounder to take the NHL by storm like this since Johnny Hockey (RIP).

I thought due to his size he would stay one more year. I was hoping he would stay just to add some strength and weight.

Rumor is the owner is tanking the team on purpose to move them to KC. I think everyone say this coming at some point.

Lot of talk about the owners kid being a big issue as well

as in owner wants him to play, but he's not good, coaches say no, they gone.

Omaha has been a dumpster fire of an organization in so many ways for so long.

With the big change in CHL landscape, Ushl can't afford to let it continue.

Live look into the Omaha locker room…

I went and looked when I hard that his kid was on the team. He’s currently playing for Mercyhurst.

Sounds like a lot of issues are the two owners not getting along. But that shouldn’t cause them to fire coaches once a month.

Kid hasn't scored a goal since high school hockey in New Jersey before the pandemic. Haha
