OK, so let's figure this out. Top 11 in NPI are locks Mankato is in AHA winner is in, loser is out That leaves 3 spots up for grabs. Wisconsin is in as long as any one of Merrimack, Ohio State or Princeton lose ... if all three win, Wisconsin is out. UConn can get in if they lose to Merrimack, but Ohio State and Princeton both lose. If either of Ohio State or Princeton win, UConn has to win to get in. Augustana needs no upsets meaning they need Merrimack, Ohio State, and Princeton to all lose. One of those wins tomorrow, Augustana is eliminated Ohio State and Princeton need to win to get in. Am I missing anything? EDIT: Wisconsin getting in is only dependent on Ohio State and Princeton, the Hockey East final doesn't impact them as both UConn and Merrimack are below them in the NPI and will take one of the at larges in the 13-16 range. If Ohio State AND Princeton win, Wisconsin is out.5 points

I don't get the desire to attack this poster. Do they have a grudge because of a bad experience for either them or their daughter? Yeah, probably. But, are they saying anything that we as fans don't want? UND should be having a coach that positively influences the players both on and off the court, UND should invest money in their top women's sport, UND should charter to away games that aren't reachable by bus in fewer than 5 hours. UND should have dedicated practice courts to allow players to improve individually. UND should be at least a .500 team against D1 opponents, but all of the above play into the reason they're not.3 points

š. Itās both fun and ironic that we Nodaks should be playing the old money, blooded entitlement card, like British nobles ignoring the effects of hundreds of years of inbreeding, syphilis, and idleness to claim the right to rule. And we all do it, to one degree or another. Itās fun, whoās gonna stop us?2 points

Good to see, he had a quiet week last week. Hopefully he turns it on for the playoffs.2 points

Multiple accounts are posting that he flat out turned the offer down. I guess we'll see what happens once Augie's season is over. I would much rather live in SF than in Mpls, so I get it.2 points

Mankato up 1-0 on UST If we ended up facing the winner of that game, not sure who I'd rather play. Tracy can be lights out.2 points

Guessing that was Michigan (Verhoeff said it came down to North Dakota and Michigan at the end of his recruitment)2 points

Yeah, if he went elsewhere, he could have paid a tutor to do all his work. We should be thankful he is a down to earth person who is looking to develop his game, and not to get a big payday before he turns pro.2 points

Lol bruh, he's barely 18. Maybe a little bit of grace?2 points

Spoons looking to rebound entering the NCAA tourney: https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/jan-spunar-looks-to-reset-for-ncaa-tournament I like that he is planning on playing at least four games.2 points

That poster is a Bison fan pretending to be a UND fan. Donāt take what they say seriously2 points

Itās like a light bulb turned on for McKamey recently. He really looks the part lately, and hopefully that confidence will continue to grow.2 points

Jax said that another school offered Verhoeff about 3x what we offered for NIL. But KV still wanted to come to UND which says a lot about the program and maybe even more about the character of KV. Loved the whole interview with Jax but that was a beauty of a nugget.2 points

UND will play somewhere against some team that wants a title as badly as them. Who and where matters not. Control what's yours to control. Bring the "A game".2 points

Guys that can be bought, donāt have the maturity or integrity, to win national championships. BU as an example.1 point

I think Minnesota should just have Frost coach the men, and Motzko coach the women and call it a day.1 point

Correct me if mistaken, but Dinkytown only burns when they win, right1 point

We always have been......and always will be.......a BLUE BLOOD program in this sport. NIL be damned.1 point

Is that any different from what bigger schools could do as well? Couldn't you also argue the athlete themselves could subsidize their own insurance policy(and then some) on future earnings with the extra $100-200k extra they're getting from another school. I honestly think we're not going to be in the running for guys that are only looking for the highest bidder... I also don't think that's a bad thing1 point

Why would Carle leave a top ten program for a program where the alumni and boosters tell you how to recruit?1 point

what about the the ag campus...shrinking and shrinking...and it looks like a prison ...(which is what it should be_)1 point

Yeah, Mckamey was super developed early. Was a bantam super super star. Clearly his game has to mature to a more complex game as heās not going to be a big power forward. Great to see heās starting to have some success. Next year will be a big year for him. Heās got time.1 point

Plenty of players tear it up D-1 year then fall off the map their draft year. Hopefully he's the opposite where he builds and builds during his draft year.1 point

I canāt believe there are āUND supportersā out there that believe this. UND has a lot more going for it than just hockey. Just a ridiculous take.1 point

Updated Commit Stats as of Mar 18: Simpson 3rd in USHL points (in the middle of two Miami recruits Loomer & Seelinger), 3rd in goals, and 5th in assists Good to see McKamey getting some more points as the season nears the end...he is 2-3-5 in his last 5gp Removed O'Neill from the list shortly after the Pilgrim de-commit as well...anxiously waiting to see who Bryn has lined up for those open forward spot(s) if they had wanted to push those two guys back. I'm guessing it'll be a couple studs. Forwards B. Schultz (USHL Sioux Falls) - '05: 54gp - 23g/20a A. Both are required skills of an AD. Being in engineering project management, you should also understand there is budget constraints that limit the scope of projects/people you can get done or hire. Still curious on what the WBB coach's contract looks like. Ignoring he had been here the previous year, his credentials were not out of something they would have been looking for. It was either going to be someone who had shown success at a lower level as a head coach or an assistant from a higher level who had minimal head coaching experience. Would be interesting to know the details of the contract only to see if it was a short-term "prove it" deal while they dealt with MH and FB (and I suppose VB) or if it was closer to a standard deal. How the opening came about wasn't ideal either and maybe there was hope to salvage some pieces, to help short and long term. Don't know. Guessing that other things seem to be taken care of, WBB is under full scrutiny as it should be.1 point

Say what you want about Bob Motzko as a head coach, Iām not sure Iād have the heart to continue coaching as long as he did after losing his son. I donāt like the Gophers and his decision-making at the World Junior Tournament in December/January had me scratching my head, but I wish him the best moving forward from Minnesota.1 point

My favorite part of Coach Carle putting CHN's Adam Wodon in a box was Wodon saying NPI is too volatile and the margins so small that it doesn't make sense to give teams home ice advantage for receiving a top 4 seed. To which Carle responds, but it's good enough to decide whose season ends and whose doesn't?1 point
-
Wodon made a good point, how the committee should avoid matchups in the second round like Denver/Western Michigan. They've played each other 5 times put them in opposite regionals, no need to see them play a 6th time before the Frozen Four.1 point
