The difference is those two were never D1 players and should have never been offered a scholarship out of HS. Whoever decided to offer them a scholarship must have been on something. One could argue that Wylee is worth using 1 of our 8 open scholarships on.

While I don’t disagree with you that the money will keep being there, it gets hard for schools to keep asking for money when the product isn’t what fans are looking for. Talked with a P5 assistant AD that their basketball team had a “down” year this year and he said “I’m having to ask donors to double their donations for next year. It’s extremely hard to get people to give more money when the wins aren’t there this year. It’s currently not sustainable.”
