I’m not selling any McKamey stock quite yet. He had a higher PPG than Caleb Malhotra in the BCHL a year ago while being a draft class younger. I could see McKamey rising back into a potential first round pick with a good year. The talent is definitely there.

Klimpke and Williams both play for Saskatoon and will be on campus next year. Both should be pretty good college players.

He was much more noticeable down the stretch.  Hopefully he takes that confidence going forward.

I really like Klimpke, he’s going to have a huge year next year.

That's pretty much a wrap on next season's roster, aside from adding a third goalie!
Just a super deep team.  Looking at this list, I honestly can't tell you which 3F and 2D will be sitting to start the season.  Other years, you had guys like Andrew, Engel, etc that you could pencil in for being in the stands.  None of that this year.

Forwards...scoring by committee.  This team will win a lot of 3rd/4th line matchups just due to their depth...even more than this past season IMO.
Defense...super skilled & young.  Really excited to see Verhoeff progress and see what Carels & MacK bring to the ice.
Goalies...now that's a skilled goalie tandem!

Bringing in a tough as nails kid that isn't afraid to get in front of pucks with the half shield on, and has played with Carels a bit.  I'll call that a win.  Dumanski is captain material in a few years, his coach at Prince George just loves the kid.  

Dressing 7 d men most nights is my guess, the battle between that group to stay out of the suites on game night is going to be fun to see.

I wonder how our forecheck and transition game will look, in year two. Will we start activating our defense more, like the last few years under Hakstol?

I feel like we have the forwards that can really backcheck.

It won't happen, but it would be great to have that sophomore class stick around for their junior and senior years.

I'm sure Verhoeff and Reschny are gone after this year, but I feel like Zellers will be 50/50. The rest I'm sure will stay unless some of them can't crack the lineup consistently

Jax has found the talent we have been missing for the last decade or so.  Now he just needs to get them to start playing at the drop of the puck and not sleepwalk through periods in games.

I still need to see that the summer work and chemistry is the same.  Sometimes the players get the same assumptions that the fans get and we all know the work, some puck luck, injury luck and team chemistry play the biggest role in getting to a Frozen Four.

There are going to be more Blue Bloods looking to get back into the tournament, or pushing to finish off, like we are. Who knows what the chemistry looks like this year, and if accolade jealousies, or lack of playing time doesn’t become a bigger issue this year.  
 

A ton of variables, especially when some of the games that could make or break us are early in the year against Minnesota and Michigan State when our young defense will need to get up to speed fast.  Add Clarkson in there after Christmas when we will be missing some major talent, and you better not stumble.

That said, our roster has a ton of potential, and if they come back just as hungry, or even more so after they have had a taste of it, there is plenty reason for excitement. Have a feeling Jax will attend to any chemistry issues right away based on the team issues we saw a few times under Berry.
