Popular Post Blackheart Posted 8 hours ago Popular Post Posted 8 hours ago Sioux with great start tonight, then got caught standing around a little while Omaha potted two on the Spoonman. That second period is a synopsis for this team's season...move the puck, make simple plays and play in the other teams' end. UND's depth wore them down, even missing 3 forwards (2 being in the top 6). Not many other teams could handle that like North Dakota; it's truly a next man up mentality with them...and they have the horses to do it. Thought UND managed the game well in the third, other than the goal they gave up, but overall they really controlled the tempo at the end. Looking forward to a similar effort tomorrow; maybe we get a couple forwards back as well. PS: Don't sleep on Dalton Andrew; he definitely made the most of his chances tonight. He was ready for the moment. 5 Quote

brianvf Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/und-beats-omaha-in-game-1-with-key-players-out-due-to-illness Quote Jackson said the availability of Strinden and Zellers, who have combined for 33 goals this season, will be determined Saturday morning. Freshman forward David Klee also missed the game with an illness. "If they're 100% fully healthy, there's a good chance they'll be in," Jackson said. "But anybody that's been sick, you know you don't feel 100% the next day. We'll have to talk to Mark (Poolman) and the doctors to see how these guys are really doing. If they have their full energy, there's a good chance they'll be in." Quote
burd Posted 36 minutes ago Posted 36 minutes ago I assume all or most of these guys get flu shots in the fall. Quote
