That was the 4th extra attacker goal this season. So 4 OT games could have been regulation losses without them. 3 ended up being OT losses, but that's encouraging to see.

It’ll return to every team being in the conference tournament. 1v10, 2v9 etc.

I was wondering how their big defenseman McEwen? didn't get more of the Tyler Kleven treatment.  Big D running around hitting everything that moves and I don't believe he got called for one penalty.

Looks like he racked up over 100 PIM last year playing for Smaby. His point totals in juniors definitely don't scream D1 worthy with so many MJ players available now. Any additional insight?

NPI decreased slightly with the OT win at home. Very glad they tied it up on that PP.

Wrong. 8 and 9 play a one game matchup at the one seeds home rink, Wednesday March 4th to determine who the 1 plays Friday night March 6th.

Nope, 9 misses the playoffs they made the change right after they were going to have the 9th place team makes it

He got away with holding 10-12 seconds earlier because the refs did not want to be involved in the game and then he did it again going the other way. Not the brightest play for sure.

The announcers said the Miami bench was screaming for a tripping? penalty in OT right before Wiebe scored...after all the hooking, holding and late hits I don't feel too bad for them.  They were solid, a little chippy and seemed to play right on the edge but you can't expect that call in OT when that's been your bread and butter all game.

Honestly if that were the other way around, I would have really mad. Heck we even got away with interference before we got that game tying goal on the power play. Miami had a right to be mad with getting 0 power plays for the entire game because we definitely took a few penalties that should have been called. We’d feel shafted if we were in Miami’s shoes.

The Miami goalie definitely had some luck on his side this weekend. And credit the 5 guys playing in front of him. But damn UND had quite a few grade A chances in the 3rd to tie it up. The better and more deserving team won both nights. Miami got a point for having 1 good period out of 6.

Sometimes it’s a fine line for a coach trying to build a program and culture to advocate for your players to the officials and allowing your players to use officiating as an excuse.  I would bet that while he advocated for his players last night, he is pointing out that they did themselves no favors by playing in the defensive end basically the whole third period.
