cberkas Posted Thursday at 08:33 PM Posted Thursday at 08:33 PM Funniest thing if someone started a "let's go Sioux" during the "let's go Canada" and "USA" chant. Quote

cberkas Posted Thursday at 08:40 PM Posted Thursday at 08:40 PM So, they got rid of the shootout in this game. NHL and all of hockey, ban shootouts. Salt Lake City 2034 please ban shootouts - from everyone 1 Quote
cberkas Posted Thursday at 08:57 PM Posted Thursday at 08:57 PM So, is the "Heated Rivalry" staying together? IYKYK Quote

Dustin Posted Thursday at 09:21 PM Posted Thursday at 09:21 PM I think the 3x3 format benefitted the Americans in this case, being the younger team. They had a hard time getting going 5x5 today. Quote
tnt Posted Thursday at 09:24 PM Posted Thursday at 09:24 PM I was struck by the difference in aggressiveness between the men’s and women’s game 3x3. It wasn’t as much about puck possession and circling back, in fact I was surprised how many times they chased behind the net, knowing the open ice if they come up empty handed in the puck pursuit. The Sicatoka Posted Thursday at 09:27 PM Posted Thursday at 09:27 PM IIHF Wonk #1: What if the game is tied after regulation? IIHF Wonk #2: Well, how about we play a completely new game? Different strategies and different number of players to decide the original game? IIHF Wonk #1: So we play futbol to decide hockey? IIHF Wonk #2: No, instead of 5x5 we play 3x3! IIHF Wonk #1: BRILLIANT! 1 Quote
Wilbur Posted Thursday at 09:30 PM Posted Thursday at 09:30 PM Well since Skip said it, all NHL OT in the playoffs should be 3x3 and then a shootout to determine the winner if no one scores. The Stanley Cup on the ice after a shootout is what the game is all about. Quote
