With all the ASU fans mad about the hit. It reminds me of the Jesse Martin hit, was clean but the player got hurt.

Geno's a tough sell for me...he knows puck but can be difficult to listen to.  That being said, he's more palatable than Jim Rich imho.

The new guy is way better than Rich. Rich fits the Gopher pxp better.

I NEVER thought I'd say this. But for some reason Geno has started to grow on me. I mean he is actively cheering for St Cloud the whole time, there's no doubt about it. But he knows the game well and appreciates a good play when he sees one, regardless of the team. At one point I couldn't stand him but my mind is starting to change.

There is no amount of alcohol or drugs that would make me appreciate Geno. He is a complete homer/cheerleader and very strange. I honestly don't know how he has a job. He is one of the worst color commentators I have ever witnessed in any sport.

Sometimes he sounds more like how a fan sitting in the stands would with all of his emphatic gestures and reactions, (such as, “GET IT! OOOH! etc.). I will say it’s grown on me simply because I’ve listened to his game calls so much it’s come to be expected.

I actually love the Homer color/PXP guy.  I don't care what side he is a homer towards.  It shows he cares.  Kind of like when a Visiting team wants to silent the crowd.

So Potter is out and Bennett Schimek too for ASU? I read somewhere that Schimek was in a non-contact jersey at practice.

Yeah he's a massive homer but he's oddly fair. It's different from homer announcers like CC or ASU in that they think every call should go their way and they are blind to reality. Where Geno makes it obvious he is cheering for St. Cloud but he agrees with calls both ways and respects talent on both ends of the ice. I used to hate it but coming to terms with his weird personality has helped haha.
