Couldn't watch and maybe this was already addressed, but what were xG for each team?!?

According to CHN boxscore, xG was 3.9-3.0 for UND.

Got crushed in faceoffs 39-25. Ouch.

Shouldn’t lose to team at the bottom of the conference who had only two wins against good teams.

That’s been college hockey forever.  That is why the sweep at home, split on the road was always a standard to try win the league title.  There isn’t a team like the Miami teams of the past 4-5 years this year.

So many good hockey players that aren’t separated by much from night to night.  We don’t have a stud like Oshie, Parise or Toews on this team, and they lost to questionable teams.  We have guys that will be elite players, but they need a little more experience and consistency in their game.

Two posts back to back and then CC goes down and scores.

Yeah that was a rough sequence.
Should have taken the lead a few times there then they score.

Mayotte seems to have the Midas touch against us that he doesn’t consistently have against others in the league. It ticks me off! Lol. Seriously, while I wish we’d won in overtime, so grateful Strinden tied that sucker up late in regulation and thanks to the Broncos tonight as well.

Mbereko improved to 6-1-1 in his career against UND. He lost his first start against the Fighting Hawks in overtime. He has not lost in the seven games since.

What the heck.
Time to change that tomorrow.

Just curious, anyone know what UND’s NPI would have been had Strinden not tied up the game in regulation. Just curious.

OT results are always less impactful than ones in regulation. If a team loses, it's much better to do so in OT as far as NPI is concerned and even better if it's on the road.

So does UND get another half of an NCHC conference point then because they should have won?

Jan had a poor effort last night. Does Dane run him out again tonight to get him back on the saddle or let him stew on that performance and cross his fingers with Gibby?

Jan’s worst game of the year obviously. That’s gonna be CCs highlight of the year. Oh well can’t win ‘em all.

He didn’t play bad at all through the third. OT goal can’t go in, I agree there. But folks were mentioning the first goal when really it was a bb from point blank where goals go in (low blocker low glove, can’t remember). When really we had a guy right before that on a 2v1 with no pass and then another chance and threw a bad angle straight up the ice for a nice breakout. Also, where was our other dman on that rush? If folks missed all that sorry, they’re not really “seeing the game”. The true issue last night, effort for some and Mberka caught 7-8 breaks.

He's an outstanding goalie, but I couldn't agree more about the horse shoe in his breezers.

I'm happy they got a point versus the alternative of a 2-1 regulation loss.

On that first goal both our defensemen were on the other side of the ice behind the play. The D men need to play D first.

The CHN app now shows CC 35th but last night before the conclusion of the game it showed them 34th. They actually dropped with last night’s OT win?

I like all the freedom the new coaches allow the dmen…but you’ll def see breakdowns from time to time that look odd.

Yeah, if you’re not engaging your defense in the rush in today’s game, you could struggle to get to the magic 3 goals. Goaltending is so good, and defensive systems make it hard to score much without activating the defense.  Probably one of the reasons we are one of the top scoring teams in the country without having a bonafide star.

UND only has three wins against good teams fwiw…(2xTommies, 1xUMD)

Difference between teams is ability to score, CC can skate with UND unlike many of prior opponents
