Godsmack Posted yesterday at 05:13 AM Posted yesterday at 05:13 AM Just curious, anyone know what UND’s NPI would have been had Strinden not tied up the game in regulation. Just curious. Quote
Username Taken Posted yesterday at 05:18 AM Posted yesterday at 05:18 AM Felt like one of those games where UND was due for a L and CC was due for a W so that’s how it was gonna play out. Two posts back to back and then CC goes down and scores. Quote

That’s been college hockey forever. That is why the sweep at home, split on the road was always a standard to try win the league title. There isn’t a team like the Miami teams of the past 4-5 years this year. So many good hockey players that aren’t separated by much from night to night. We don’t have a stud like Oshie, Parise or Toews on this team, and they lost to questionable teams. We have guys that will be elite players, but they need a little more experience and consistency in their game. 1 Quote

Godsmack Posted yesterday at 05:22 AM Posted yesterday at 05:22 AM Mayotte said in post game show that Klavs Veinbergs won 76% of his faceoffs. And I wanna say he took over twenty draws tonight. Quote
Godsmack Posted yesterday at 05:37 AM Posted yesterday at 05:37 AM Mayotte seems to have the Midas touch against us that he doesn’t consistently have against others in the league. It ticks me off! Lol. Seriously, while I wish we’d won in overtime, so grateful Strinden tied that sucker up late in regulation and thanks to the Broncos tonight as well. Quote
brianvf Posted yesterday at 07:12 AM Author Posted yesterday at 07:12 AM Quote Mbereko improved to 6-1-1 in his career against UND. He lost his first start against the Fighting Hawks in overtime. He has not lost in the seven games since. What the heck. Time to change that tomorrow. Quote
Blackheart Posted yesterday at 07:29 AM Posted yesterday at 07:29 AM We bury these a-holes tomorrow...thinking 5-1 ish. Quote

Just curious. OT results are always less impactful than ones in regulation. If a team loses, it's much better to do so in OT as far as NPI is concerned and even better if it's on the road. 2 Quote

Oxbow6 Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Jan had a poor effort last night. Does Dane run him out again tonight to get him back on the saddle or let him stew on that performance and cross his fingers with Gibby? 1 Quote

He didn’t play bad at all through the third. OT goal can’t go in, I agree there. But folks were mentioning the first goal when really it was a bb from point blank where goals go in (low blocker low glove, can’t remember). When really we had a guy right before that on a 2v1 with no pass and then another chance and threw a bad angle straight up the ice for a nice breakout. Also, where was our other dman on that rush? If folks missed all that sorry, they’re not really “seeing the game”. The true issue last night, effort for some and Mberka caught 7-8 breaks. 1 Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago I'm sick of losing to this team. Time to change that. Quote

He's an outstanding goalie, but I couldn't agree more about the horse shoe in his breezers. I'm happy they got a point versus the alternative of a 2-1 regulation loss. 1 Quote
nodakgirl93 Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Getting it to OT was huge. If they gonna lose games better off doing it in OT. Just get a win today and the weekend will be a success. 3 Quote

On that first goal both our defensemen were on the other side of the ice behind the play. The D men need to play D first. Quote
Godsmack Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago The CHN app now shows CC 35th but last night before the conclusion of the game it showed them 34th. They actually dropped with last night’s OT win? Quote

Yeah, if you’re not engaging your defense in the rush in today’s game, you could struggle to get to the magic 3 goals. Goaltending is so good, and defensive systems make it hard to score much without activating the defense. Probably one of the reasons we are one of the top scoring teams in the country without having a bonafide star. Quote
