The only reason you go for 2 there is try to match points if they score again.  So you cut it to 9 and they get a TD you score again and make it an 8 score game with a 2 point conversion.  I get the idea but just take the points.

Elrich is the kicker today and the backup that has been kicking the 2nd half of the year did not travel with the team. On the podcast Schmidt said that everytime Elrich has attempted to kick much in practice he had his injury flare up and gets so sore he can't continue. Possible that happened and they don't have a FG kicker right now? Silvernail did the place kicking
