you need another level of college hockey hell for scsu

boring building, boring fanbase, boring city.

Zero desire to ever go to that arena.

Do we know what the UND players say is their favorite roadtrip? I feel like sometimes they ask the players. I imagine they say either UMD, Denver, or Western.

My wife and I really enjoyed Miami. Nice little arena, cool little college town.

We went to the much hyped Skyline Chili and let’s just say we don’t ever need to go there again on future road trips to Oxford. :)

I’ve heard Miami more than anywhere else from alumni

We might be moving a couple hours away from Oxford...if that happens I'll go to the UND/Miami series each year.
What is the deal with Skyline?  I see such conflicting reports on it...people either LOVE it or HATE it.  :D
To be fair, it's mainly Schloss that gives it so much love.  ;)

As someone who lived in Cincy for three years, I can say that in general, if you were raised with Skyline you tend to like it but if you aren’t, you in most cases won’t like it. It also depends which item you order.

sounds like waffle house in the south or White Castle.

I thought it was alright, my wife wasn’t a fan.  Basically, it was wet soggy spaghetti noodles covered in canned chili.

Kinda like the Red Pepper. Many of us locals love it but people not raised here are sometimes like, what’s the big deal???

Going to Lawson in February. Flying out of GF to Grand Rapids, MI and driving to Kalamazoo. Staying in a castle, it's going to be fun! I like Amsoiled in Daloot, Mariucci was a lot of fun 3-4 years ago around Thanksgiving. Colorado Springs rink is crazy how steep risers are between the stadia. The signs are a bit of a headscratcher inside too. I like Bemidji's rink, small but clean. Baxter and Herb Brooks do not have comfortable seating. I was hoping for a destination game to Hertz Arena in Estero, FL.

Off the top of my head I would like to visit both Vermont's and Yale's barns.  Gutterson and the Whale

We went to Vermont fall of 2015 during Boeser’s freshman year. It was early in the season and he was very noticeable right away. That was a fun trip to take in October to see the leaves turning and eating lots of pancakes and French toast as an excuse to load up on Vermont syrup! Cool little old school barn that the Catamounts play in too.

My cousins "snuck" me into the Lunatics student section at WMU last year.  That was an experience!  Though, after seeing the arena, I understood why they want to build a new one.. concessions were on par with HS hockey and they just had no way to drive revenue there. Only place to get beer was from a table in an old concourse area that overlooked an abandoned indoor swimming pool.  Not necessarilly a bad thing imo - just part of the charm of an older barn.

Out of UMD, WMU, and SCSU, I really like SCSU for some reason.  WMU was great as well.  UMD is just stale.

You like SCSU? It's such a boring town and lame atmosphere. Give me UMD for the cool energy around Duluth / harbor.

***consumption of Hairy Buffalos from MC's Dugout may have affected my judgement***
