Jax is still under his Assoc HC contract.
It could be as simple as letting that clock run out and signing the new deal on Day 1 of the new fiscal year. 
Minimum paperwork.

It's nothing. He has inked the term sheet, which means he has agreed to all the terms that UND is offering and neither party can change anything unless agreed upon. People need to stop worrying about this and the said reporter needs to do a better job than installing fear into fans.
