He would need to recruit “his style” of players. And with portal/CHL a big factor now on how rosters are shaped each year, absolutely he moves a needle. Great college success sending guys to NHL plus his NHL resume. It would not even be close to worse than what we have seen last few years as far as on ice effort, passion etc 3 1 Quote

Play a possession game as opposed to damp and maybe chase. Quote

His first year was his best and after that only about .500 in a league not as competitive as the NCHC. What about his coaching record in a lower conference gives people confidence he could succeed under a microscope? Remember he had to turnover most of his team the last year, either through bad recruiting or players not wanting to play for him. 1 Quote

He's changing our defense for the first time since 1989. He's a much different coach than he was when he was defensive coordinator. Hiring Hakstol would be pushing the easy button, which is something you have justifiably criticized in the past. I'll say it again: National search. No more inbreeding. 2 Quote

Listed every accomplishment he had as a coach and everything that went wrong. How about: -Berry missed the Fargo and Sioux Falls regionals regularly... -For the first time in however many years we had zero shots on goal in a period. -How about you hit again on his crap record in the conference tournament.... Instead, well we lost but Poolman was hurt in that one. 2 8 2 Quote
