Then teams that load up on these guys will have trouble winning in March and April, as you need a total team effort in the playoffs. Also, the chippers will be around only one or two years before the NHL dangles those ELC's in front of them, so you'll be trying to win with freshmen and/or sophomores, who are notoriously inconsistent until they get used to the speed and size of the college game vs. Juniors.

As we literally just witnessed with the Bentley/BC game.  BC's team of chippahs squeaked out a win against Bentley.

For the record Dane's going to be a hell of a coach. Most of you will bitch and moan about it but give the guy a chance. He's paid his dues, could've left multiple times.

Why didnt he leave?

January is when it all changed for this season and when the admins starting thinking seriously of replacing Berry.
The ASU weekend was turbulent and when the tension between Berry & Jackson kind of overflowed...rumor is that they almost came to blows.
Then the horrible home weekend against WMU.
Then the following weekend when the "Jammer incident" occurred during the bye week.

The admins started hearing about these issues from players, staff, and team personnel.
Players were not happy with how Berry handled the Jammer issue...Dane wanted to handle it in a different manner that aligned with what the players wanted as well.

Berry is a great guy, no one is stating otherwise.  I think he got taken advantage of a bit with that and he couldn't make the tough choices, especially with this year's senior class, their playing time & roles, and the Jammer issue.
By the time the season ended, the decision to replace Berry had already been made and had been in process for at least a month or more.

I like this. Thank you for your thoughts. Things are making more sense. Go sioux

He’s played at the pro level, he knows what it takes and with having young kids at home, it probably didn’t make sense to him.

Could we ask? We got hurt because we  put our trust in berry. He let us down by how he operated. What happened to his standards when his daughter took control of the nodak logo? Could this be the biggest red flag of all? This doesnt bode well for his integrity. How good of a guy is/was he? Is it possible the sioux lovers on this forum, dont want to see this for what it really is. Maybe we really dont know him at all. Did we all throw ourselves at Berry? Now we’ll give him a free pass for some seriously poor decisions? I still dont want to think badly of him. Is it possible he’s got dirt on the athletic dept? He knows where the skeletons are buried? Was a deal struck? His lips are sealed and so are unds?  We dont know the whole story do we? Time will tell. Go sioux!

You're speculating yourself in circles to the point you probably don't know what to think or say.   Must be scary to have boogie men everywhere in your world.

Can you tell us what was the issue?

you know what just dawned on me with the chippaz?  In order to be a true chippa these days, not only do you have to have the talent and the work ethic, but also you need to have parents with money.  It is really rare to find a blue collar chippa in the US.  So, some of the approach might be that these kids have always grown up knowing they will go to school and it will be paid for.  Whether its hockey or a parental scholarship.  So, they don't feel like anybody is really doing them a solid, its just another team they are making...no different than any other elite team, they are just 18 years old now.  I don't think they are rude about it, its just that it doesn't feel that special or amazing, because it was always going to happen.

Facts?

And given that the United States is home to the world’s busiest airports, we might have been No. 1 in the world earlier this month,’ University’s chief flight instructor says.

According to official Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) numbers, Grand Forks International Airport (GFK) was the busiest airport in the nation for a streak of days in early March.

Specifically, GFK’s combination of passenger flights and UND flight training traffic topped all airports in the United States on March 1-3 as well as on March 8.

According to UND Today, Grand Forks International Airport (GFK)was the busiest airport in the country for a period in 2021. Specifically, March 1st through the 3rd and again on March 8th. According to the FAA, the airport (GFK) had as many as 2,000 instructions to pilots taking off and landing on a given day.Jan 30, 2025

According to the Grand Forks Aiport, the number of take-offs and landings at GFK often ranks the airport in the top 20 of the nation's busiest airports.

Whoa, can you say how you know all this? It sounds like you have some intimate knowledge of what actually happened. Because if what you described is true, it shines a more favorable light on Jackson.

I don’t think we will see Jackson behind the bench unless it’s as an assistant coach the new hire decides to keep on.
