I dont care what has happened for the good Chaves leaves town metaphorically tarred and green feathered to the front of a very late  Amtrak. 

This is UND, we don't discard legends like this.....

 

but unfortunately between Sweney and TH, appearently I guess we do.

 

Whats next Chaves going to wear the Morelli Sammy Sioux  jersey to a Champions Ball and wipe strawberry juice all over it?

What is the big deal about Tim’s health care? He should be on Medicare by now shouldn’t he? He has to be over 65.  It sounds like this should have never happened this way. They should have given him every opportunity to go out in his terms. Maybe they did. It will be interesting to hear TH’s side of the story on the radio later this morning.

I've heard rumblings that Looker will stay on as their home PA and road radio.  New blood in the booth for home games on the play by play side.

Unless they find a solid voice to replace Tim for home play x play the job may still be his to lose.

 

The news is officially out now so I'm sure they'll have some other voices interested in looking at the job in the next few months.

I'm guessing this is why it was never reported by Brad.  So much up in the air.  Sounds to me like there is a chance he is doing the pxp, but not as an employee of UND.  Once the news came up Brad had to scramble to write an article with the full story.

Fargo radio personality Scott Hennen, who became a fierce critic of UND athletic director Bill Chaves and current head coach Dane Jackson after the Fighting Hawks let go of former coach Brad Berry last spring, first posted on Twitter/X on Tuesday night that Hennessy was "fired" and criticized UND's coaching staff for not reaching out to Hennessy.

But Hennessy told the Herald that Jackson and general manager Bryn Chyzyk were among a group of people who immediately reached out after seeing Hennen's social media post and said they were under the impression Hennessy was returning next season.

He is probably going to go out his way, which I am okay with. I wish him the best in his health but let's not give TH a free pass here. He has missed a lot of games and when he does call games, it is pretty bad (obviously not the same guy). As hard as it is to acknowledge, his run of calling hockey games is coming to an end.

It looks like Scott Hennenn has some BDS (Berry derangement syndrome) going on.  Everyone needs to let this play out as it seems, based on Brad’s story, this is industry wide.   Hoping TH can do some home games and go out in style.

Listening to the interview with TH... no matter what Hennen may be exaggerating things and sensationalizing it... there's a few things that I see.

If anybody can't understand the concept that perception is reality, those people struggle in life and especially business. 

In this case no matter what, TH seems to have the perception that he was disrespected and thrown away. If that's his perception that is the reality to him and others.

In my perception Hennen seems to be using TH in his sensational over dramatization of the situation to fuel his own war against UND, Which basically negates a few valid points.

i.e. Schloss had nothing to say about this until now?  He obviously was aware, and I would guess aware of the hard feelings.

 

Bottom line in my book, I think less of Hennen once again in all this and that has been a long slide down over time in how he handles some issues for ratings more than content or results.

However, there's about a dozen or more better ways it all could have been handled by UND, and that didn't happen.
