Trash coaching move.  Gave a lot of rest to their front line players.  His reputation is being harmed in my opinion.  Other coaches will take note of his manipulations.  When I sat in meetings with other coaches, we did like this type of working the refs and trying to tilt the games.

He seems like he’s better fit for a real housewives show than behind a college hockey bench. So much whining and drama.

I actually thought that the announcers were pretty good. They called the game pretty evenly. Sure they are Miami fans, but gave a pretty neutral tone to the calling. Could have been far worse.

They are good. I’ve always enjoyed them. The call that lead to our second ppg was a little soft, and there was a pretty clear hook or hold at center ice late in the game that we got away with.

Getting a road sweep in the NCHC is hard. At the end of the day it's a very successful weekend for this team.

Yep, certainly could have been worse if they didn't pull off that comeback yesterday.
Not the best that this team could play, but they got two regulation wins and 6 pts, so that's all that matters.

Now on to Clown.  Cross our fingers that maybe MacDonald / Jammer are able to play (they seem to be the closest) and get some points.

With that sweep they move down to 27 in Pairwise

I like Northeastern at #24 with a 4-7-3 record.  :D
A win (or more) over #7 SCSU next weekend would certainly be a big help.

Their record should have them in the bottom 12 of the PWR

The main positive that I can take out of this weekend is that Perron is emerging as the type of player that the coaches have said he could be.  His skills with maintaining the puck are really starting to shine.  Plus #9 is starting to come on as well.

If the boys can get a win or two next weekend, and get some guys healthy, this could still be a salvageable season.  It doesn't look easy, but it never is.

Perron, Boisvert, Strathmann really stood out to me as making progress lately.  Swanson too...he's not as noticeable, but he's been getting on the scoresheet (3A tonight).

We need more scoring out of OMac/Wilkie/James and, like you said, a few players to get back (Berg/Jammer/MacD would be huge) and hopefully this team can take a step or three forward.

What coach is backstabbing Berry and telling him to do that?!

A lot of the guys on that team work hard.   Better passing and better rhythm would make them seem much more fast-paced.  We fans tend to attribute slow, uneven pace to lack of effort, when that's not always the case.   I'd agree, though, that UND's teams often tend to glide the last couple of strides into a puck battle.   As I understand it, that is a tactic that is taught, usually for defensemen, as a means to control the opponent's body.   I just don't like it, and it gets them into chasing teams that skate and pass more effectively.

More burd bullshyt, but what the he!!; it's an internet fan site.

Just watched the highlights, and our d zone still at times is pee wee level.  Watch their first goal and ask yourself what Montgomery is doing taking a step towards the wall with the puck up top on his side of the ice. He basically puts himself out of position not protecting the house (net), then that guy gets a step on him and has a back door tap in.

Later on the PK in the 2nd, looks like we are pressure box, but all four of our guys are on the wall in about a 10 foot box and Miami gets a fantastic look because of it.

They got away with it this weekend.  They won't next weekend.  Happy that the group got 6 points, but being #27 in the PWR, we need a sweep against SCSU before the break.

Could part of that be attributed to the fact that he's not a natural defenseman so playing in those positions doesn't come as naturally as guys have been doing it at a high level for many years?

Give me a split with SCSU next weekend and get healthy for the 2nd half and I'll be happy with our chances to make a run.  This team doesn't suck, they have shown what they can do vs BU and Providence with all cylinders firing.  The problem is they are a bit immature in my opinion and having your 5th year captain and 1C out along with a couple of critical Dmen for PKs has really got them reeling.

F that style. Give me 6 Troy Stechers that never glide and always try to get to the puck first.
