I agree with the name acceptance.  By referring to "Sioux" ties, I did not mean to imply any nickname allegiance.

A coach's allegiance to either of the two names has nothing to do with his aptitude as a coach. 

I agree with not calling the coach "Bubs", that's something teammates or friends call each other.

If Bowling Green finds quick success, expect MJ coaches to become a hot commodity. Dallas Ferguson could be one to keep an eye on if Carle never moves to the big show.

Somebody said, "We should be looking forward not backward." I agree. One of the talents I hope the next coach has is being able to motivate players to be better than they are. Someone that is younger. I know it was just a little sarcasm bringing up names like Jerry, Red, and Gino because they were proven commodities and had lots of success. Who would be on search committee? I hope they are vetted.

She has threatened it before. I don't remember specifics (getting old) but when Kennedy was here, he wanted the Betty to utilize the new logo (I know it's not popular) on center court for branding purposes and to help the University move forward with the new nickname (from a marketing standpoint, it is 100% factual). She ran to the press to make it seem like he was the bad guy and threatened to donate less money because of it. She's taking a page out of her dad's playbook because he did the same thing. The problem with most of it is that leadership before Kennedy arrived always kicked the can down the road and never wanted to tackle the issue and then finally an adult showed up and tried his darndest to clean it all up. 

Berry knows that having her on his side is beneficial to him staying and the hockey program getting what they want.

This idea that CC is some program that is a stepping stone possibly to Nodak is confusing to me. As stated, Mayotte is bringing his program back to prominence and it's not like they lack resources there. Although we are a blue blood, we currently are not a big enough leap up the rung to make him want to jump ship from CC to Nodak. It would be awesome for us if that was in the cards, but it's simply not going to happen.

I do not see an issue.  I am frustrated about the slow maturing of the players.  I would like to see more shots from unexpected players, angles, and the creation of garbage in front of net.  

But my coaching is soccer, including an offer to coach on the Ghana National Men’s team (had I accepted the offer I would have been with the team when they were in the top 8 at the World Cup); and hockey is just a great source of enjoyment since I stepped on UND campus in the early 1970’s.  

We have very good coaches, with a very young team.

UND has more money and backing at their disposal than CC, of course it would be a big leap from CC.
