To be fair Jerry threw a couple of really nice deep balls yesterday that our wrs didn't catch.  First one to Hoskins (I think) should have gone for 6

Yes! And the first one was a dropped td from Hoskins.

Probably belongs on a different thread but when a donor has been as generous as the Engelstad family and their foundation has been it is baffling that you continue these type of posts. Their support focuses on their top priority, but the initial facility donations and subsequent support continue to benefit not just hockey, but MBB, WBB, VB and if not directly, at least indirectly our other sports.
For those who have served on Foundation Boards or similar, I believe it’s clear the best response isn’t to criticize their generosity, but simply say thank you.

Shouldn't having 52% of the FB revenue go to REA be stopped? I believe that is a legitimate gripe.

Could be a budget constraint.

Bingo … need more $

need to brainstorm on this and not continually criticize a major donor who favors ice hockey

looked like he slowed down before the ball got there.  Even with that it hit him right in the hands.  If he'd kept running full out it would have been an even easier catch.

I am curious if the players were together when the playoff selection was released. Did the coaches call everyone and say, "Hey get your pads and helmet. We got a game to prepare for."

Didn’t look like it. It was only the coaches I think in the room it appears

Yes but, that’s on UND not a generous donor.

Izzo's latest prediction. I guess he thinks SDSU will beat UND next weekend.

It must be hard for Dom Izzo to type with his pompoms on. :) He's impossible to listen to when he calls a football game.

i disagree...und's "financial agreement" has hurt every sport on campus except hockey...hard.

if und hockey was still in the old REA with slight improvements they'd still be in the nchc..still a blueblood.still fine...BUT the growth in other und sports are being ignored bc of the golden goose and how the money is split up the agreement they signed onto and sent 100 different ways other than improving growth sports at und --starting with football

I am not sure that I agree with your point. Why can't or... why isn't football, basketball, and the other sports developing a different revenue stream? Same with basketball. We have NIL money for all of the sports. UND football is really close to being on the rise with the new coaching staff, but this is year one. Basketball has a beautiful facility, but it is half empty for many games. I know this because I go to many games with my daughter. I don't blame that on the Engelstad funding issue. I blame that on one bad coaching hire(s) and decisions. For the record, I like the new women's basketball coach. He has one hell of a hole to dig out of to right the ship.

Coach brought the 4-2-5 and none better to install and coach it.

The defense is not the issue @The Sicatoka they've been the bright spot on this team.

He “short-armed” it.

I have read that Engelstad foundation pays for summer school for fb players.  Not sure but assume it's true.

Like I posted earlier, KEM was at the Bison game and would assume she enjoyed it and the atmosphere. Hopefully she'll get more involved with fb.

That’s nonsense. UND is responsible for the Alerus and FB revenues not a generous donor. I’ve stated my opinion and will respond to this on a separate thread but let’s not digress from UND FB.

Agree, but if we are going to make a playoff run, we have to tackle better, no missed assignments and play penalty free.

Good point, I don’t like having a good defense.

way to miss the point.

How do you feel about the offense?  HC is in charge of the whole team.

Ive never heard of a head coach also being a coordinator.  I believed because the money is not there.  Looks like spending more money on position coaches.
