Yes, it plays a some part for this display/result, but we should still be lots better. Lack of compete (2nd period tonight comes to mind…) has zero to do with injuries. I was talking about how Jammer's injury will prob be long-term...because it seems most of the injuries have been long term lately. Wasn't talking about tonight's results...we should have easily still had the horses to hang 5-6 on RMU. 1 Quote
AlphaMikeFoxtrot Posted November 23 Posted November 23 Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard. After the quick two they kept trying to make highlight reel plays. Grind it out and leave no doubt; highlight reels aren't the desired outcome. Quote

SIOUXELEVENS Posted November 23 Posted November 23 At the end of the day we just are not a very good hockey team. ND where good players come to play worse. Quote

It just creates more frustration and creates unfair false expectations by UND supporters when we play so called inferior/no name player teams. Quote

He was 5 seconds away from giving his team an undeserved regulation win. Hard to fault him…much…but it seems his pattern in general though is giving up 3 goals a game. That just don’t cut it anymore, fair or not. 2 Quote

Benny Baker Posted November 23 Posted November 23 I’m old enough to remember when Robert Morris couldn’t even field a hockey team in 2021-2022 and 2022-2023. Quote

Popular Post scpa0305 Posted November 23 Popular Post Posted November 23 We have some big problems. We’re not very good at all. I think I’m most shocked at the fact we gave up 32 shots to one of the worst teams in the country. 5 Quote
Blackheart Posted November 23 Posted November 23 When is this team gonna sack up? They disappear for long stretches against Augie, Kato, Cornell, and now Bob Morris. The expectation has never been that they win every game (trademark DU) but that they compete and are hard to play against for a full 60 minutes. That's it...you do those things and the wins and losses will take care of themselves. F*ck! 2 Quote

Does the coach have no accountability? Quote

Blackheart Posted November 23 Posted November 23 I found the perfect way to relax after this game...2005 Frozen Four against Minny; the 3 Matt's (Smaby, Jones, Greene) are featured in the pregame and Gary Thorne and Bill Clement have the call. If you want some old school, in your face, Fighting Sioux hockey this game will do. You even get a young-ish Erin Andrews interviewing Erik Fabian during the first intermission. Spoiler Alert: Fabian and Zajac both score twice in a Sioux victory! 1 Quote

hockeytherapy13 Posted November 23 Posted November 23 3 hours ago, Goon said: Go back and look at his faceoff numbers from last season. That's the reason. He won (.432) percent of his faceoffs. Being a center is more than just faceoffs and Omac is better at center than wing. But he really isn’t great at faceoffs so I was blown away that they had him take the opening faceoff in OT (and of course he lost the draw). Wtf? Have schmaltz or Wilkie take it and then just trade guys out. Plus having Swanson on the penalty kill? The second he stepped out on the ice during the PK I was confused and then less than 20 secs later we allow a goal while he’s out there. and FFS break up the 7-15-21 line. They keep trying to make it work and it’s going nowhere. When they finally had 26 and 21 on a line together things started happening. I’m not a great hockey mind and I don’t get too low on the staff like a lot of people do but there were decisions made tonight that were mind-blowing. 1 Quote
