Example: they have whole events and talk about the NFL draft for months and you’d be lucky to hear about the NHL draft.

Hayduke1 Posted March 22 Posted March 22 Berry & company are bringing in talent. however Berry & company are not doing a good job of coaching and developing talent IMHO new blood in coaching will still bring in talent and probably do a better job of coaching talent. Time for a change with folks outside of the UND gene pool. Again, just my opinion 3
rochsioux Posted March 22 Posted March 22 We have now missed the NC$$ tourney in 4 of the past 8 seasons, including 2 of the last 3. It is definitely time for a head coaching change. Berry’s had 10 years and multiple chances to fix things. Instead the program sinks further and further from elite status. Chaves screwed up with keeping a football coach too long and he’s doing the same with the hockey program. Great leadership.

I’m had to apologize to a few people for being ornery last night, it’s understandable. Tough for another season to end this way. My prediction: Berry gets 1 season to make a frozen four or he’s done. brianvf Posted March 22 Posted March 22 If they're gonna get rid of him before next season...it needs to happen soon, like in the next week. Then you need to have a replacement lined up (something that would have already been in process if the admin was serious about making a change), then work on retaining players & recruits. I agree with @InHeavenThereIsNoBeer, I think Berry is given one more season to ride out the end of his contract. We'll see how this goes. I'm not very confident in anything with the program at the moment.

A change is needed and I'm all for someone with no ties to UND. But having an actual national search is needed not like when Hak left and just promote the associate head coach.

Only 60ish D1 schools. The same amount of teams in March Madness. And there's no D2 hockey, so "second tier sport schools" get to play "first tier hockey" only because of lack of national interest. 1
