Gophers probably losing 6-9 guys to graduation and pro. Maybe a couple transfers in there as well. They will not be as good next year.

While this may have been amusing to watch, I’m concerned about the state of our own team.  Berry’s probably lucky UND didn’t make the tournament because UMass or Minnesota would have mopped the ice with the business suits.  The end result would have been ugly.

You always say stuff like that, like it is fact.  Remember we were going to go 3-9 the last 12 of the regular season, never mind your individual game predictions where you thought it was going to be ugly.  UND wasn't good, we get that, but they did beat some good teams down the stretch with some guys out of the lineup.

Can't worry about others when your (UND) house is not in order.

I'm sorry, but this is such a loser mentality. Sportsmanship from the NCAA? Bro, play better in the third! Your team collapsed, Bob. Clown stuff, IMO.

Your full of <@^+ he handled that better than any of us would.  They were actually screwed by the officiating and if und would have lost by being forced to change the goalie and no calls like that we would all be melting down about it.  Bob actually handled that fine

I hope the goofs lose every damn game they play due to a missed call by the refs. When the Sioux lost the “.6” game to the goofs in the frozen four it was directly a result of a missed high sticking call in front of the net. The goof player that scored the winning goal high sticked Grimaldi which created enough space for him to get the shot off.

Sounds like SiouxSports and GPL should go bowling sometime.

Or calling a penalty on Finley for closing his hand on a puck late in a regional  game, to set up a tying goal

I think most of us thought it was a bad no call when it happened, but to not be able to look at that and come to the conclusion that it wasn't as cut and dried as first thought is insane.  A gopher fan at work at least admits on replay it wasn't something that should be called in overtime.  So if they call it and Minnesota scores, then you definitely have a reason to be mad if you are UMass.   At the very least, if the guy did touch him, you have to question if it was a dive, because it couldn't have been much contact, and diving if you are a defenseman making a rush is always a calculated risk, especially in overtime.

I'd say a few things can all be true: It was a trip (stick in feet/legs on player going through NZ with speed).  However, whistle didn't blow....keep playing the game.  Also, don't get taken to the woodshed in the 3rd period.

So, the ref making the Goofs swap goalies for an equipment issue....is that rule, or just an decision the ref can make?  I've never heard of it before that game

Wow! I turned the game off last night when the Gopher went up 3-1 and woke up to see a pretty awesome score. If I can't enjoy a UND win, I guess I will settle for a Gopher loss. On top of that, a lot of good games yesterday (would have liked a BU loss). I will say, Gophers have some really good players! Snuggerud's goal was pretty sweet.

Watching all of the games yesterday just demonstrated the crazy lack of speed UND has right now. Gopher, Mass, Mankato, Western all looked fast, and had a few guys that could really kick it into the next gear. Maybe UND had more speed than we saw but just lacked the chemistry or style to complete a pass in stride .... Who knows, but my expectations for this program are definitely more than what we have seen.

This team reminds me of when we had guys like Janatuinen, Hoff, Jones, Yon, Bowen, etc.  as upperclassmen, along with a few others. There were some flashes of skill, but they never seemed to be a cohesive group and watching the game it just never passed the eye test.

Hopefully some more solid games today. Now if we could just get a Bentley and Providence win today, I'll be really happy.

Only thing I disagree with is Minnesota State. They did not look fast at all outside of Pitlick and maybe one or two others

And I may be thinking of a few specific scenarios where I saw speed versus throughout the whole lineup, but in general, I just never felt like a saw any speed on our roster outside of James.

What did he mean that “someone else should be up here now”?  Is he whining about the refs?  Sorry, I could only hear half of what he was saying.

He meant that the UMass coach should be taking the “loser” questions…

From my point of view, every team playing yesterday would have boat-raced North Dakota…

Jones shouldn't be lumped in with the rest mentioned. He carried the team the two years he was here and deserved a better tenure.
