First there's the end of the year tax consequences and then you can't spend a dime at Chipotle, the union, Micks Office, Target, etc, etc. She sold out her legacy for that?? What's her degree pursuit, cow milking and sheep shearing ?? Quote

tnt Posted yesterday at 02:36 AM Posted yesterday at 02:36 AM Well her name is Schiller. Seriously, that’s a lot of money for someone that age, and had our basketball program not been in ruins, who knows if she makes this decision. "Shill" is an informal and disapproving term for someone who is paid to promote someone or something favorably Quote
NewUndFan Posted yesterday at 02:36 AM Posted yesterday at 02:36 AM Jory is a great coach and he brought NDSU out of the toilet. I was jealous our incompetent AD couldn't find us a coach like that. That being said Jory demands alot out of his players. He has driven some out by how tough he is. I think Josie might find she isn't starting or getting the minutes she got here. But maybe she wants to play for a coach like that. He has a winning mentality. Mal has been a mess since she was hired and Chaves couldn't figure that out and offered an extension to her. He destroyed this program 4 Quote
ND-fan Posted yesterday at 06:49 AM Author Posted yesterday at 06:49 AM It will be interesting to see how this affects NDSU team in that they have highly recruited freshman point guard Frost already on the team. Does she stay or does she move on and even if she stays what does it do to team chemistry. Powers in Fargo think this to be great move but what looks good on paper may not be as good as it looks. Jory had problems with team chemistry his first years at FARGo and now with next years team who will be leader of this team they loosing Draper and Schulte seniors that were leaders. Schiller will play to begin with but what happens if Frost is better than her next year and like you say Jory goes with Frost and Schiller gets less playing time. I will tell you Schiller was fortunate that Mal was coaching this year because there were times she needed to sit because her not running the offense correctly or she was getting beat defensively. Yes she had very good year but now she going have competition at point. Fargo is tough place to play if do well they love you but if doing poorly there’s no loyalty and somebody is doing better your forgotten quickly. I think she thinks she is going to play on contender right away but fact is if they loose Koenen this coming year which they might because she will be looking for Nil money greater than Schiller and who know what she might be already hearing Money she can make at much higher level because she has talent and size to play in big time. Just loss of her would make NDSU very average team in the Summit. I also think we’re going to be much better team next year already because we’re going to see better coaching than we have not seen since Roebuck retired. Quote

Koenen already said she is staying another year. I agree though Josie will be fighting for time with Frost. This just shows you what happens when you have the right coach in place. Jory didn't lose any of his top players as of yet. We lost our whole team. I do wonder now from what I'm hearing if Josie and her family were a cancer on the team. Quote

There was a parent on X who said the 8 submitted the portal papers and then Mal stepped down. I don’t know the process to back out of the portal, but was hoping some would opt to play for Hutter. What time line ? I agree with you. I dont have any inside information but from what I see her dad must have been getting in with the team. Could Josie and her family turned the rest of the team against the coaches ? A Twitter post hints she and her family were angry that Mal offered another grand forks girl that the Schillers felt wasn't deserving and that Josie was the only star of grand forks. 1 Quote

In the end a coach wants someone who is invested, not begged. If the back story is there were helicopter parents and prima dona attitude probably not so much. Quote

Helicopter parents and a prima dona - addition by subtraction. Quote
