As we all mentioned this week leading up to this series...UNO had a LOT more to play for. I understand that UND needed to be playing for PWR seeding, but UNO was playing to continue their season. If they got swept this weekend, their only route into the tourney would have been winning the NCHC. crb1 Posted March 9 Share Posted March 9 UND has won the Penrose are sitting at 3 still in PW and clinched home ice, conversely UNO is a bubble team and doesn’t even have home ice secured. They were playing desperate hockey and it showed. Would it have been nice for UND to win of course. Not the end of the world. They would be higher up in most leagues this season. But they were also much better than us tonight. They forced turnover after turnover and fully deserved to win the game.
