It took Stig a long time to turn SDSU around, so I guess you never know.  But I don't see a lot of similarities between Stig and Bubba, and the same could probably be said about the differences between some of their assistants and ours.

If Bubba gets wasted and drives his car off the road and nothing happens then you know the University and players are behind him 100%.  That's the real test.

So I’m not a firm believer in building through the portal but I’m going to guess this year we see heavy action, especially on the defensive side. I’m sure Bubba and co. aren’t feeling amazing about their job security beyond next year so they need to make a dramatic push and as far as I know, we don’t have the bodies on the defense already here to rebuild that.

It hurt taking a Chance type player like Otis then having that blow up.  But, winning the GPA conference title doesn't need to be the goal either.   Bring in some dogs, win a bunch of games with them, hopefully they don't get arrested in the process??  It's tricky.

I've noticed we tend to recruit kids who are "nice" and were likely in their FCA chapter at their HS.

I'm not saying we need to go full "Ricky Vaughn" but we could pull in a few off this list.

The “dawg” is more likely buried out someplace in his backyard…
