Whoever it is he’s gonna be looking for a new job after one season but he will at least be able to say he was an OC at UND for one year in 2024

This keeps coming to mind for me.  Would there be a no hire situation until the phase II projects are complete?  Dedicate money to that and then make a move for coaches after?  When is construction scheduled to complete?

Does the president ever go to a basketball game? My God look how good softball did this year look how good women’s soccer did this year all Chaves hires

Bill Chaves started March 1, 2018. 
 

- football has plateaued under Bubba and coaches pay hasn’t kept up with peers; went 9-2 in 2016 and won the Big Sky and zero playoff wins outside of spring season 

- hockey has missed the NCAA tournament multiple times. Not sure they ever missed the tourney under Faison. Won natty 2016 

- mens basketball has been a middle of the pack or bottom feeder since it went to the ncaa tourney in 2016-17 season 

- womens basketball has been a bottom feeder since going 20-11 in 2016-17; that includes a 2 win season 

- volleyball, which used to be one of the most dominant sports on campus, has been a bottom feeder since going to the ncaa tourney in 2017. That includes a 1 win season 

Do I need to go into the other sports? How long of a leash does Chaves get??

This means to me is ask QB’s if they want a promotion within or go with a solid coordinator with QB credentials. Hopefully someone who is good to be the next head coach if O-coordinator, if hire within then for coordinator then need to find a solid qb coach.

Everyone’s posting about how great of an opportunity this is, but this is a lateral move aren’t people looking at this like that this is not a step up. This is the state of the Und football program right now good gracious.

Don't bother. He'll just go into Father Knows Best mode, telling you how the real world works and that everything that can be done has been done and it's not constructive to discuss it on a discussion forum (yeah, I know, can't make it up). Then he'll wrap it up by telling you the solution is to send some emails.

With thinking like that, no wonder our athletic department looks like a high school department instead of a Division I collegiate department.

The end is near it people do not realize how horrific this makes UND football look. Go from OC to QB coach at a rival in-conference school? Not to mention the guy who is doing it “bleeds green”? Chaves and Armacost need to be held accountable here.
