farce poobah Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 Crap night for NCHC tonight, in non-conference action that sets the tone for PWR later. Excepting the WMU- BG game, getting outscored 12-2.
brianvf Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 Thru 2 periods, MSUM almost has as many goals as UMD has shots. Leading 5-0 and outshooting them 31-7 1

brianvf Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 Wow Lindenwood was down 6-2 to Air Force only to win 7-6. 2
brianvf Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 I can't believe they didn't even sell out that small arena on opening night.

brianvf Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 SCSU stays perfect on the year by beating UW 5-1.
brianvf Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 Calder with a good start to the season with PSU...3 goals in 4 games. Michigan crushes BU 9-2...UM had three 5x3 goals in the 1st period. NCHC OOC results weren't amazing, but a couple wins/tie (3-3-1): SCSU 5, UW 1 UNO 3, LSSU 1 WMU 8, BGSU 2 UND 5, QU 5 UMass 4, DU 2 SLU 5, CC 1 MSUM 6, UMD 0 Will be interesting to see how UMD responds tomorrow after that butt-kicking. 1
brianvf Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 Not often that you see a 0-0 OT tie between two undefeated teams: https://www.collegehockeynews.com/box/final/20221014/osu/con/
cberkas Posted October 15, 2022 Author Posted October 15, 2022 I have to say this, NCHC get ASU in the conference. 1

Should have been 7-0, refs waved of a goal that they thought went of the crossbar, apparently the video replay was down at start of the game and they forgot to tell the refs once they got it going again.
sioux rube Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 We have an instant rivalry. University of Jamestown and Minot St played in one the most physical Womens games I have ever witnessed last night at the Wilson Arena. Minot won in overtime 4-3 but not before a huge scrum in the third. Between both teams 85% of the players or so are Canadiens. Rematch today in Minot IMG_3907.MOV 1

Godsmack Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 This is the second week in a row AF has blown a big lead. Last week, they blew two 3 goal leads at home against Notre Dame.

For NCHC conference record against other leagues and for gfhockey’s well being, hopefully they turn it around, although he may not awaken from his stupor to witness it until after the weekend.

farce poobah Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 Big sweep by Mantanko over Duluth. 2-1 tonight. the NCHC preseason top three without a win on the weekend so far. DU trailing 2-0 late at UMass.
brianvf Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 Not a good weekend at all for NCHC OOC games.
