If we couldn’t travel today, is there any chance we play next week?

I'm gonna stay optimistic until I hear otherwise.  Does it say anywhere how many tested positive? Any chance of false positives? How deep does contact tracing go? Lot of unknowns, at least for me.

Would love to read about who the folks under 50 who were died in MN.  Likely would have died anyways. https://www.health.state.mn.us/diseases/coronavirus/situation.html#ageg1

Under 50 in MN the death rate is .04 %.

151 people under 50 died WITH covid in MN

234 people under 50 died FROM car accidents in MN in 2020.

How many of those people crashed their car trying to check their covid test results?

This could be a blessing because we are thin at NG so a week off can't hurt right now.

And If Missouri State beats SIU this week they're sitting at 4-1 coming into the Alerus Center. Could end up being a good game.

If there does end up being playoffs this spring, if a team tests positive before the playoff game, I'd guess they would just get the loss then.  Couldn't start rescheduling playoff games or it may never end.  We'll see what happens, hopefully there isn't a lot of Covid crap that causes more havoc towards the end of the season and during playoffs.

Good question... answer is not so simple.... how many days of isolation(positive case) vs. quarantine (exposed). Many of those recommendations change.... what day did this all start? 10 days or 7 days or 14 days?

we will have to wait sand see... just be glad we are in ND and not MN

All of the COVID protocols, contact tracing etc are roughly the  same as they were a year ago when the MSM was telling us bodies of all ages were going to be piled up in the streets across America.  Have we lost all ability for critical thinking and rational cost benefit analysis?

Yes...the protocols have changed many times from CDC and various states... it changes with the positivity rates.  MSM made us all panic

According to Jack Michael’s the positive test came back Friday AM. And Kelly Burke from the MVFC game of the week broadcast said she has heard it may affect an entire position group. Don’t know how reliable either of those sources are, but if true it doesn’t bode well for next weekend.

Miller say the team was 10 minutes from leaving for the airport when they found out.  So that would confirm Jack's account.  If the other one is true... I would agree with your thoughts.

At least UND found out before leaving.  That would suck to find out 5 hours before gametime that you can't go and have to bus back up to Fargo.

Agree, and this game will not be made up as USD already has a game scheduled for April 17th. Have to figure SDSU game is in jeopardy now too.

At what point do we actually look at the science and play?  It’s been a year now.  Can someone share with me the list of NCAA D1 athletes who have been hospitalized and/or died due to COVID-19?

Pleasing people? Which people?

The masses... testing testing testing when the accuracy of the tests hadn’t been verified. It seems both Dakotas are using more common sense than MN. We have the MN Dept of Health FREE “COVID Aware” app for cell phones. You get a text if you were within 6 feet of someone with COVID for 15 min (seriously). We have the electronic “Vaccine Finder “ to see where you can sign up for vaccines. We had the MN Vaccine Lottery to take a chance on getting a vaccine.

And so “the masses” are happy.  The general public seems to have lost interest in anything COVID because no one can figure out why the wrestling teams do not have to wear face masks but the hockey kids with full face shields do have to wear them.

I could write a book....
