NIL  money.

I get that.  His point isn't clear to me.  Playmakers Lounge?  What would that have to do with NIL?

What's the difference between that and the NDSU QB sellin' beds for Comfort King(?). Both would be "Name Image Likeness" deals.

Nelson already had one with an insurance company.

What is "that"?  I feel like the playmakers gambling discussion is being conflated with NIL.  Even so, I still don't get what the point is.  The purpose of NIL for schools like NDSU and UND is it helps to compete with FCS and G5 programs, not blue blood P5 programs.  Is the point that organized NIL programs for a school like us is pointless because it will never match up with P5 schools?  If so, it's a strawman argument.

TeamMakers and their gambling site Playmakers is the "that", yes.

Can Team Makers do NIL?
Their statement of purpose on their 2020 Form 990 (pg 2) is written loose enough I'd say yes, but I'm not a lawyer or the IRS.

"To provide financial support, promotion and spirit for our student athletes and the NDSU Athletic Department in order to achieve excellence."

Watching USD-DePaul right now and I just want to say Paul Bruns has regressed since being here. Now maybe he just wasn’t that good and had the volume stats because of how bad that team was that he was on. His brother looks better than him right now.

I think it’s the later. I hated that I had to try convince myself that he was the future of the program.

I hated that I argued he deserved the freshman of the year over Zeke.

I miss him. Big body 4 man that can shoot, rebound, and go get a bucket when you need.

Man that would be nice!

I was going to say he would be the perfect 4 man for this roster!

Perfect cancer for this team.  No thanks.

Was he a cancer his first year with Jones as the head coach? No. Still good friends with a lot of guys from that team as well....

Most likely the new coach came in and said/did something that they didn't see eye to eye on. The situation can go both ways.

He redshirted for a semester under Jones. The rest of his time was under Sather.
Agree that it can go both ways.

Wish him the best.  The team is much better moving on from DAE.

When you've played on 5 teams in 10 seasons (and you tried leaving those teams more than once), sometimes self-reflection is necessary.

Wish him the best but both parties are better off that he moved on.
