These refs were bad last night and seem to want to ramp it up tonight. They need to review:

Rule 68 - Diving/Embellishment 68.1 Diving/Embellishment - A player shall not attempt to draw a penalty through any exaggerated or deceitful action. A diving penalty is a standalone penalty. PENALTY—Minor for diving. A player who has been fouled shall not exaggerate the impact of the foul. An embellishment penalty is called in conjunction with an opponent’s penalty. PENALTY—Minor for embellishment.

How about ahcan holding his knee.  Then immediately jumping over the boards after the review

How about last night when, Poehlibg certainly embellished the shoulder to shoulder hit by Caufield and went down the tunnel only to immediately return to the power play.

Don’t think there was embellishment but turning your back to someone late when someone is bearing down on you shouldn’t be rewarded.  At some point players have to be responsible to keep themselves safe, and that type of thing could get you  some life long regret if someone is going faster and a little further from the boards.  Foolish to compromise your own safety like that.

I 100% agree but the way the rules are written right now, that hit is five and a game automatically. Should the St. Cloud player do a better job at protecting himself? Sure. Should Pinto be smarter there and not throw a hit at a guy 4 feet off the boards? Yes.
