We may not be conference rivals with UMinn now, but it's sure nice when UMD or SCSU sweeps them.

A few years ago, when UND played BC at MSG, Dave Starman commented how Jerry York was recruiting bigger, heavier players. Perhaps he might have more success with the smaller, quicker forwards that he had so much success with from 2000-2012?

Remember the 2010 title game against a loaded Wisconsin team and the smaller BC forwards (Atkinson and Whitney) were just dominating.  Although, BC did overall have some big boys out there, looking at the roster, the fwds really put on a show in the 3rd.

BTW: It was fantastic watching UND hand BC a loss at MSG.  Good memories.

So Wisconsin and Penn State are playing a weekend series:

- Thursday (Halloween) at 7 Eastern
- Friday at 6 Eastern

Sorry, but that's not good for either of them or college hockey in general.

Seems clear to me that the B1G has made hockey second fiddle to football. As long as they continue to do that, I don’t see B1G hockey growing and prospering as much as it potentially could.

The 6 pm eastern is so that they can do a hockey double header on Big Ten Network. We were subjected to the same thing when CBSSN tried doing NCHC double headers.

Not sure why the Halloween game/late start. Especially with no PSU football Saturday.

I know it's in vogue to rip the B1G/BTN, but the beauty of basketball season is there are almost no Friday night basketball games. So basically every Friday there is a hockey doubleheader once the conference season kicks in. Saturday is then a "B1G" basketball day but they are spread out throughout the entire day and often times there isn't a nightcap or the night cap isn't on BTN(because ESPN or FS1 picks it up) which leaves an opening for hockey. And even if there is a basketball nightcap, the regional Fox Sports channels often times will often pick up the Saturday broadcasts in the cases of Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota(sometimes Michigan St as well).

I’m watching the Penn State/Wisconsin game and the atmosphere looks and sounds electric there in Happy Valley. All the fans are wearing white in unison and they’re vocal. I’d love to go out there for a road series against them.

Goldy and Notre Dame has been a good one.  Morris has been at Notre Dame forever it seems.

Then again how many years has Jeff Jackson been around?  Wow.

How is it that St. Lawrence and Clarkson played each other in a non-conference game tonight??

I don’t know the why, I just came here to say:

The ECAC is weird. They play every team twice. Once at home-and-once away. That’s it. They never play any team 4 times in conference play like other leagues. (Maybe they like playing each other so much they decided twice was not enough?)

Why I didn’t already know this is also concerning
