Wilbur live from 111:  First period thoughts

-Boy our d men gave the puck away that period.

-I hit my five year old harder than Larkin got hit (sarcasm alert)

-Do the Canucks care that Boeser is a defensive liability come April?

Miami doesn't like to be hit.  So leave the stick checks on the bench.

I thought Boeser worked harder on D last year.  Maybe it was having Schmaltz and Caggiula on the line.

That's a pretty fair assessment. I noticed last night that Miami doesn't like to get hit as well. We need to up that physicality but be smart about it. Better play in the neutral zone and no lazy passing.

Boeser is not a complete player yet (not even close) but he will get better in a couple more yrs.

He has an NHL shot but he'll never stay in the show with his lack of D....unless he eventually focuses on that side of his game.  At this point, I would say it would be wise to stay another year.  But he won't.

Bowen and Yon are going to be the players in a few years!

We'll see. I could end up being wrong, but I see Bowen ceiling as a second line player maybe even yon too.  Yon does have that heavy heavy shot in his favor though.
