best0186 Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 I'm no fashionista, but Hammer's outfit was off the chain tonight! 2 Quote
burd Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Hammer is getting more comfortable with this game of hockey. Prefer some of the goofball stuff, though. Quote
BeazSioux Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Couldn't listen or watch. Did Stech play after the hit? Quote
iluvdebbies Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 I hope the pants are drying out....a lot of you really wet them the first period. Quote
WiSioux Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Didn't get an update on Stecher and I turned off the post game, sorry guys. Last I heard he went down the tunnel to the locker room but shortly returned to the bench. Not sure if he played in the closing minutes or not. Quote
808287 Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Anyone know the last time a freshman notched a hat trick in the home opener? Quote
OETKB Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Thought the boys were REALLY stoppy in the 2nd period, specifically. But, the 3rd was much better. Matt played well, considering he had a 2 year layoff. Looked better and better as the game went on. Quote
SiouxFanatic Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Couldn't listen or watch. Did Stech play after the hit?Yep. He came back after the hit. Quote
snova4 Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Couldn't listen or watch. Did Stech play after the hit?He was just gone for a second, looked like an equipment issue. He came back and played the rest of the game with no visible side effects. Quote
Emerald joker Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Anyone know the last time a freshman notched a hat trick in the home opener?my friend and i were wondering the same thing Quote
JohnboyND7 Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 You're use to Bison football games. So that's will be an easy bar to beat. You can drink at the Ralph. They have two bars that are jam packed that overlook the ice. There's a band that plays in the concourse during intermissions, etc.Only thing that makes it better are wins and UND is pretty banged up right now.Being able to drink a beer was nice. Other than that, meh. Would not go back unless tickets were <10 bucks. Lady had fun though. Quote
Cratter Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 TJ oshie was the last freshman to score a hat trick. In an opener? Probably never? Quote

Games are always more fun when you're a fan of the sport or the team.My girlfriend and I took her parents (NDSU fans from Fargo) to their first ever UND hockey game last year vs Denver. All they could talk about was how awesome it was and how they wanted to get season tickets. But then again I had tickets ten rows up on the corner UND shot twice. I'd almost rather watch the game at home than sit in the upper bowl. Edited October 18, 2015 by Cratter 1 Quote
brianvf Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 3 goal night for Boeser and 4 pt night for Cags.I like that line. We'll call it the CBS Line. Quote
best0186 Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Yep, but I thoroughly enjoy my upper bowl tickets because I can get a great feel for the game, see things developing and seem to be able to evaluate the game better. Have been in the suites, lower bowl, and lower bowl as a student and while each have their perks, I wouldn't give my upper bowl tickets up! 4 Quote

We'll call it the CBS Line.I wanted to see this line from the start of the year. Might be tough to put Gersich back with Schmaltz and Boeser after the way those three played tonight, despite the chemistry they showed in the first weekend. 9-8-16 were absolutely dominant and dynamic, tonight. Best view in the house, see plays develop. I never have to look at the screen to see the action, like you have to almost everywhere in the lower bowl. 3 Quote

bigskyvikes Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 row P right in the middle. Not too shabby.Middle also, 15-16 for me, I love my seats..What was your thoughts on Hyrnkiws play? I thought he settled in nice, had to have been ready to puke at the start! That's a big stage, looked good after awhile. His defense looked nervous for him at first also. Ausmus I thought had an off game? Quote
