Check out @BNHarrington's Tweet: https://twitter.com/BNHarrington/status/607933651989479426?s=09 Oh geez, I hope that's just an out of context quote. Buccigross would literally be fwapping to Eichel on-air, intead of figuratively fwapping like the 2015 FF. 1 Quote
cberkas Posted June 9, 2015 Author Posted June 9, 2015 Arizona State add Mike Fields as and associate head coach was an assistant for Dubuque. Quote
SJHovey Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Oh geez, I hope that's just an out of context quote. Buccigross would literally be fwapping to Eichel on-air, intead of figuratively fwapping like the 2015 FF. I don't see any way that Buffalo let's Eichel stay in school. Not unless there is some sort of money angle to it of which we're all unaware. The reason Eichel responds the way he does is all due to timing. The draft hasn't actually occurred yet. We all assume he's going to Buffalo, and he almost certainly is. But think of it from Eichel's perspective. He announces that he's leaving BU to .........? It's not like the NBA where undergrads have to "declare their eligibility". It's a bit presumptuous of Eichel to just announce he's turning pro when he hasn't even been drafted, let alone presented with a contract offer. As soon as the draft occurs, an offer will be made. Shortly after that he'll announce. 1 Quote
The Sicatoka Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 RE: Eichel Maybe he thinks if he produces enough bone-headed statements to the media that Buffalo will not want to deal with him and will trade the pick away. First ten picks in 2015 NHL Draft: 1. Edmonton 2. Buffalo 3. Arizona 4. Toronto 5. Carolina 6. New Jersey 7. Philadelphia 8. Columbus 9. San Jose 10. Colorado Eichel's latest gaffs would make him an instant media darling in Toronto. I wonder if Buffalo could give the #2 overall for Toronto's #4 and #34 overall. Quote
cberkas Posted June 10, 2015 Author Posted June 10, 2015 Former associate head at UConn Mike Souza is now the associate head coach and head coach in waiting at UNH. Sounds like Umile is going to retire soon. Quote
Godsmack Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Has anyone checked out ASU's schedule next season? Wow. They'll have their hands full but perhaps that will be great preparation for the future plus since they're an independent it's not of consideration who they play, where they play, etc. Kudos to ASU for their scheduling. NoiseInsideMyHead Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Kudos to ASU for their scheduling. And coeds. 1 Quote

Mariucci Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 So you're saying they're like the "anti Gophers" when it comes to scheduling? Yep, nothing like stacking your non-conference schedule with cupckaes like BC, Notre Dame, UMD, Mankato, and SCSU. 2 Quote

cberkas Posted June 12, 2015 Author Posted June 12, 2015 Arizona State will host a January tournament called the Desert Hockey Classic, this will be Arizona State's only D1 home games this year. Joining Arizona State will be Yale, Michigan Tech, and UConn. It also sounds like this will become a annual tournament. http://www.thesundevils.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=30300&ATCLID=210144653 Quote
