Don't think Astudillo would've been on the playoff roster if it was my call. Would've been better if Jeffers was still in there but Rocco has to pinch it Garver earlier for that great 3 pitch strikeout AB. Quote
Wilbur Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 The most embarrassing part was how little Houston cared and they out hit and out played us in the field. If the wrong Berrios shows up tomorrow its over. Quote
SiouxScore Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Offensively I thought the Twins had a really good approach early. Really disciplined with the strike zone not chasing but as the game went on it looked like they were protecting the strike zone like they had 2 strikes when they had the advantage count. Polanco had a 2-0 and hit a popup to left on ball 3 well off the plate. Sano could've been up 3-1 in a count but reached out and hit a curveball off the plate softly to the 1st baseman. Happened multiple more times and it was very frustrating. Quote
Username Taken Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 If there is technology that shows what percentage of the ball crosses the plate, why is it not being used in games? If I remember correctly, Thielbar would have struck the guy out that drove in 2 more runs. Different mindset down 1 as opposed to 3. That’s just one example out of a million. Quote

SWSiouxMN Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 If they lose game 2... I can see a lot of changes being made for next year. Quote
SiouxFan100 Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 And we didn’t lose to the Yankees Quote

I'll hold off on any guesses for what they'll do until the clock strikes midnight. There are some guys that need new uniforms and it starts at the top if they lose this round. Quote
Sodbuster Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 17 post season losses in a row?! That's almost statistically impossible! Quote

This is a record that will be hard to beat and they could set the record again tomorrow. Good ol’ Minnesota sports 1 Quote

Wilbur Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 The Minnesota Sports fan in me has an awful....AWFUL feeling about today's game. I see nervous at bats, not moving runners, a wild Berrios, and more sloppy play in the field in big spots. I'm not over yesterday. A lefty who only threw flipping curve balls no hit them for 4 plus innings..... Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 If they win this game, they’ll win the series. They won’t lose game 3. I’m confident this will occur. Quote

Can't lose game three if it doesn't happen. If they don't get it done against a sub .500 team it'll never get done. Quote
BarnWinterSportsEngelstad Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 Twins now have longest post game losing streak in major sports. Need to end that. Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 No Buxton. Alex is making his debut. Quote
Walsh Hall Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 If Kirilloff is the best option in a do or die game, why wasn’t he getting at-bats this year? 1 Quote

SiouxScore Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 In the interview with Rocco just now he didn't entirely rule Buxton out for entering later in the game. Maybe he has some kind of flu or something? Quote
Wilbur Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 Bases loaded in the first and its his first mlb at bat......wish he had actual mlb appearances before this one. Quote
Wilbur Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 We sure we don't want to pinch hit for Jeffers now with a guy who can't hit water from a boat???? Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 Berrios needed only 29 pitches to get through 3 innings. Get him some run support!!!! Quote
SiouxFan100 Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 A few Twins homers wouldn’t hurt heck, a timely hit would be welcomed Quote
