Wilbur Posted May 17 Posted May 17 The bottom of the lineup just wasn't competitive. Vasquez not hitting his weight, Kiriloff needs time in St. Paul, and Margot just has to be released. Quote

I really wanted them to get rid of him this past offseason. Quote
Green Banner Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Don't get why Rocco keeps playing Margot over Martin. Must got advice from Berry Quote

SiouxFan100 Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Was at a couple of twins/ yankee games and the twins didn’t score frustrating Quote
Wilbur Posted May 20 Posted May 20 Rough stretch. Now we see old friends Rosario and Joey Gallo. Big starts for Pablo and Joe Ryan to start the series. Quote
Wilbur Posted May 21 Posted May 21 Seven in a row. Rocco had quite the response to Duran questioning pitch selection. Normally Rocco is pretty calm, but he seemed a bit mad. Quote

Green Banner Posted May 28 Posted May 28 Just now, Green Banner said: I see a glaring issue. Hopefully Lewis can come back and produce like we have seen in his short time and stay healthy. Hopefully they don't fall out of contention and make a move for a bat at the deadline. Then again it's the twins and I will keep my expectations of the front office low Quote
Wilbur Posted July 27 Posted July 27 Two months later: Pitching has hung in there. Topa back, Stewart back, the bullpen is getting close to the best it's ever been. Jax, Stewart, Topa, Duran, Alcala from the 7th on doesn't sound terrible. Lineup wise, Wallner has figured it out, should be a regular. Correa back in a few weeks, but Lee and Castro can handle short. It's a playoff team, now can we get one more starting pitcher.... Quote
Green Banner Posted July 27 Posted July 27 Hopefully they make a move at the deadline for a starter. But guessing they will go with the same as last year. "This is our team and we can win with this group". Quote
Sodbuster Posted July 30 Posted July 30 Sounds like Twins back on Midco starting in August......of course August 1st is an off day. Quote
Wilbur Posted September 27 Posted September 27 Well it's September and if you told me in July that the Twins would implode I don't know if I would've believed you. Twins on life support against Miami in the 12th inning.... What on earth happened. Other than the Pohlads.... Quote
Wilbur Posted September 27 Posted September 27 Welp, that kind of summed up the last two months in a nutshell. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted September 27 Posted September 27 Tigers at one point had like 0.2% of making the post-season. Quote
sioux rube Posted September 27 Posted September 27 This ranks right up there with their ‘77 collapse Quote
Wilbur Posted September 27 Posted September 27 Okay, turning the page to next season. Pretend everyone stays healthy....... SP: Pablo, Ober, Ryan, SWR......need to sign a starter. Let Zebby and Festa grow in AAA. Ownership probably won't sign a starter..... RP: Jax, Duran, Sands, Topa, Stewart (Never healthy), Varland, Alcala, Funderburk. IF: Correa, Lewis, Lee, Miranda, Castro, Kiriloff (Never healthy). Vasquez, Jeffers. OF: Buxton, Larnach, Wallner, Martin, Castro. Bullpen you're fine, but that is if everyone stays healthy. Varland is a reliever. Don't try to make him a starter. So long: Kepler, Margot, Santana, Thielbar, Tonkin, Desclafani. Maybe we can trade Julien......sigh. 1 Quote
