Lopez, Gray, Ryan and Maeda can win a series or two. Plus Duran in the backend. If they can get Ober back up and running, that's another weapon. Quote
Wilbur Posted September 10, 2023 Posted September 10, 2023 Magic number drops again with Cleveland officially in a nose dive. Great performance by Lopez today. Too bad nobody wanted to hit. Quote
Wilbur Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Another loss, but Cleveland lost as well. Smart move to get Sonny out early when he clearly didn't have it. 90 pitches in four innings is a lot to throw. Quote
Wilbur Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 Twins figure out the Rays and win 3-2. Littell looked good for Tampa. Not sure if we ever tried to start him, but hats off to him. Magic # at 10 for the Central. 1 Quote
SiouxScore Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 After Arozarena hit that first foul ball I said you either better make a sharper pitch Jax or just walk him and then he left another middle middle for a foul ball but Arozarena didn't miss another. Still cut the magic number to 9 as Cleveland losses late again. Quote

Twins have managed to keep running out Keuchel every 5th day for the last few weeks. Probably his last few weeks in the big leagues ahead. Quote
Wilbur Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 If it ended today: Mariners @ Twins for a best of three series. Not sure who I'd rather see the Twins face. The Twins have been fine against both, but the streak just jumps out and says "not so fast". Quote

sioux rube Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Lewis with yet another grand slam. Unbelievable. That’s his fourth of the season and fifth of his career in just 250 at bats Quote
Username Taken Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 This team does a lot of damage with 2 outs. They’re making the other team work for every out. Quote
sioux rube Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 Magic number now at 6 after beating the white sox 4-0 today Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 Best playoff path for Twins would be this 1) Baltimore 2) Texas 3) Minnesota 4) Tampa 5) Houston 6) Seattle They can beat Texas and Seattle in the playoffs and forced the teams that give the Twins trouble (Tampa, Houston) to knock each other out and then deal with Baltimore. Wilbur Posted September 18, 2023 Posted September 18, 2023 Hopefully Sonny has another good start and can get his ERA below Cole's for the Yankees. Quote
Wilbur Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 Just a formality now of who they'll play in the postseason. After today's game against the Reds, all the teams they are playing are just playing out the rest of the season (Angels, A's, Rockies). Hopefully Royce's hammy isn't an issue, but from the looks of it he will be on the mend a bit. Hoping to see him on the 26 man playoff roster obviously. I'm sure they will give Gray and Pablo one more start before putting them into position to start the Wild Card Week in Minnesota starting on Tuesday 10/3. Stewart and Paddack both threw last night in St. Paul. I would assume we will see them at some point over the next two weeks. Having Stewart in form for the later innings in the bullpen would be fantastic. Quote
sioux rube Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 Nice comeback win by the Twins today. Down 3-2 heading to the ninth they score 3 to win 5-3. Magic number down to 2 1 Quote
Wilbur Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 Just need the Royals to hold on today and the Indians would be officially dorme. Glad that the Twins should be able to clinch at Target Field this weekend. Quote
